I too don't think the actual Auron will be in the game in any story relevant aspect. I think it's a visual cameo.

Oh I was only half-serious. Unless we find other neat easter eggs like Auron it remains a stand-alone thing. That said I'll be scanning the crowds like mad the next few times I review the trailer.

So I just watched again literally checking second by second for anything and I think the Auron thing is one of a kind. But I found something of minor note.

In case you can't read the text, between :34 and :36 the thing in the red box seems to be the only thing affected by the wind and I can't tell if it's a banner or a person's clothing, like say a cloak.

That works, thanks. Sometimes web hosts don't let you hotlink images on other servers, but since you already have the image cached you end up not knowing that it won't load for other people. This may be what happened here; I didn't check.

I might just be going blind after watching it so many times but isn't it just a combination of the rain and the spotlight making it shine and look like its moving. I only see a wet floor that's getting rained on.

I haven't played FFX in very many years and never finished X2 so maybe I'm missing something here but IIRC he's not a time traveler

If you are talking about him going from Spira to Dream Zanarkand that's not time travel. DZ is a physical place with in Spira far out of reach in the oceans it actually physically exists. When Auron goes to retrieve Tidus he's not time traveling or starring in Inception he's just legitimately riding a Whale to an Island manifested by the dreaming Fayth.
