Awesome endings

Okay, so we've done crappy endings and awesome openings...what about really awesome endings?

Chrono Trigger's bajillion endings were pretty kewl, and several of the ones from Chrono Chross. The same applies for most good RPGs with multiple endings - Disgaea 1 and 2 had some really great ones, just like Makai Kingdom after them. Valkyrie Profile's endings were pretty good, too. The "bad" ending is funny (loldefective), and the regular ending is kinda meh. But the "good" ending is really, really good, and quite epic.

Assorted fighting game endings. Some of the Tekken endings are hilarious or just plain badass, like Bryan fucking up a tank, or Mokujin getting his ass beaten by his wooden wife xD

God of War 1 & 2 weren't bad. GoW2's ending is probably the best of the two, though. The last image from the first game

, Kratos sitting on the throne with that "fuckin' SAY somethin', BITCH" look on his face

was pretty awesome, though.

Sadly, of the ones I've played, only MGS3 had a really good ending. Both of the ones for MGS1 were okay at best, and the one for the second game SUCKED (don't deny it, you fucking know it did).

Viewtiful Joe had a pretty good one, too. Maybe not quite as good as its opening, but not bad, all the same.

At the end when she looks at you when you came out of the chamber and she's standing in front of the flaming city with a fat stomach, all I could say was FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

It's the only reason I still have the game

Amen. I think I would fall over and fall apart if they did FFVI's ending in the realistic style like the newer games. Definitely one of my all-time favorite game endings.

I liked how certain aspects would change, depending on who you did and didn't get. (Any of you ever get through with only Celes, Edgar, and Setzer?)

Chrono Trigger had awesome endings. The fact that there was 10-15 different endings was one thing, but then also many of them were really funny or unique. The Developer's Room and the Slideshow ones stuck out to me.

I liked EarthBound's ending. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but

it's the only RPG I've ever played where you can walk around the world after you've defeated the final boss, and talk to the townspeople. I also like the photographs during the credits.
