They were production sketches done for Last Order. I don't know how/when they became available, but the guy who scanned them collected most of his stuff from Japanese auction sites. I guess these kinds of things commonly circulate somehow.
They weren't officially available from anything officially sold online by Square as far as I know.

Canon fuckery "Sephiroth jumped instead of being tossed," crap aside, Last Order was an awesomely animated and well done OVA that's fun to watch even now. Madhouse did an incredible job creating an entertaining snapshot of one of the most critical moments in FFVII lore and giving some love to Before Crisis even when the game still never released itself here.

I don't think those are canon names; they weren't used in the game. They're just names the sketch artist gave them.

I find it amusing that they are referred to as a "village mob" and included are a baby, two children and a really old man.
Them backwater mobs are crazy.
A pity we never got to see these characters (minus Tifa of course) in the Last Order OVA or to have them properly realized in Crisis Core. Even though the above sketch is largely a stock-caricature team of NPCs, they still manage to be more colorful than what we've seen before in regards of Nibelheim's residents.
I particularly dig this one.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this. So, during development, the Last Order creators had assigned various names to the BC Turks. We know this pretty well on the FF wikia page. For example, Rod Male was Avlis, and so forth. There's a few names that strike me as weird and I think mistranlsated:
Studio Madhouse, Martial Arts (Male) is given the name Maur (マウル) should be rendered as "Maul."
Two Guns (Male) is given the name Ruluf (ルルフ, Rurufu) should be "Wolf." While I gut may expect Okami or something like "Rorufu," I think this gets closest to the pronounciation. Rolfe could be written the same it katakana, but "Wolf" makes more sense given his design.
Finally, the strangest one:
Martial Arts (Female) is given the name Juget (ジュゲット, Jugetto) This is odd, isn't it? The best I can find in Japanese is various listings for dolls/toys with that as a name (I think type?) of doll. Interesting for spansih, "el juguete" means toy, too. Can anyone chime in on this? Am I dumb? Would "Juget" be a name Studio Madhouse would use? Or, were they trying to something more like calling this character "Doll?"

None of the names appear to have real world parallels, so they could be anything. Sometimes Japanese authors will just come up with names that sound western but aren't actual names or words.
The names the wiki uses are just the names the fandom uses. But none of them are logically incorrect. Not much in transliterations from English words, but ending Rs are sometimes transliterated as ル (e.g. ヴェルド almost certainly comes from "Verdot").
It could be "Maul" so long as you aren't pronouncing it like the English word. ルルフ is not "wolf", although it may be where his name derives in which case "Rolf" would make more sense as a back-translation (though it wouldn't be what people called Rolf render their name as in Japanese). If they put in an appearance in the Remake, I imagine they'll either get canon names (as Cissnei did in CC), or they'll carry on using their weapon code names. IIRC, the reason Cissnei was chosen to feature in CC was because she was a minor playable character in BC that you could only unlock partway throught the game, and so, SE reasoned, fans wouldn't be as attached to "their own" version of her character as they would be with one of the major playable Turks. In the game, you're encouraged to name them yourself.

I do hope we learn a little more about the Classic Turks throughout the remake. Not too much though. Gotta keep the mystery alive.

I see what you mean. It's not a standard Japanese word, and you're right it's very likely it's from the Spanish "juguete". I have to assume most of these handful of instances are from Japanese people translating a Spanish listing because the word only shows up on online listings and not on products themselves. Juguete would more accurately be transliterated as フゲテ or フゲーテ, and there are many instances of both online.
It's technically possible that this was the inspiration for Juget's name. Misreading foreign words is also a way Japanese authors come up with names.

Freyra also sounds weird because of the extra "r". Translate フレイラ and you get Flair. That and Juget bothers me more than the other names.

Maybe if you use Google Translate. It ends on a "ra" sound so it's not "Flair".

Hahaha! I think they're going in a very different direction. Perahps call it an ironic name, but some creators have a penchant to name hot badass chicks something like "Doll" to sexualize them at the same time. I mean, if juguette is the accurate origin, "toy" is a lot worse than "doll" here.
They stick with someone named Rude, doesn't it? Rude, Maul, Wolf, Doll/Dolly? If Rude was named something like 'Frank' I would think these names were too silly to fit.
