Before Crisis on PSP

I remember reading BC is coming out on the PSP. Can't wait until it does.

I'm an avid collector of all things FF and it has been a pain to know there is a game i cannot get my hands on simply because it's a mobile phone game and i don't have the phone to support it.

I don't know when they plan to release it, but i'll get it.

Who thinks they will leave it like it is on the mobile phones and place all expansions onto one UMD, or it'll be a downloadable title?

Will it be 2D/3D etc?

So many questions!

That was unfortunately, a rumor.

They did plan to remake it for PSP. They then changed that to what is now Crisis Core.

I thought it was only ever a rumor that it was being redone for psp, but man, that makes me sad that we could have had Before Crisis redone in glorious 3d with voice acting and all....stupid Crisis Core

no disrespect of course, I loved Crisis Core but would have prefered a new BC since it had so much more than CC, so now, how bout a new one on PS3!

Edit- Scratch that, I say back to the idea that Before Crisis should be made into a full anime series, it's like one of the only things left they haven't done on the compilation and would rule something serious! =D

To be honest, Crisis Core had more than Before Crisis in some ways. And I'd rather play as a familar character than some nameless random Turk who we've never seen before. >.O

I would fully support a BC anime. It seems like it has content enough for one, so why not? In fact, an anime could incorporate events from both BC and CC, and maybe go one to what happens after?

That said, why can't they just port BC to the PSP as is? I wouldn't mind the simple graphics and nothing but text. I just want the story. :/

But yeah, too bad it was only a rumor.

Sure, you play as Zack, but overall BC had more to it, eg:

-More locations visited
-More characters (We get to see all the shinra Execs, all the mains from FF7, Azul makes more sense in dirge now, plus new interesting characters like Elfe, Fuhito and the extra Turks)
-sub stories, like when you follow Rude on his date, and the side missions for Tseng and Reno.
-You use more than 1 character

Also it seemed like it's story lasted longer. So pretty much when you think about it CC was great, but lacking in some ways and a better BC could've given more plus has a fair bit of the stuff thats in CC already.

Nevertheless, I can see why'd they did what they did, since Zack's story does involve Genesis a lot and since he's been geared up to have some role later on its obvious they wanted to show his backstory.

This. Have the scenes that were in CC aswell be more fleshed out like in CC versions. And if they did an anime, you know there'd be more random stuff and probably explore the backstories of the new Turks too.

Imo, they should release that kind of stuff as download title on all 3 current gen consoles and be done with it. Tweak the gameplay mechanics and graphics/resolution a bit and then release it over the net. Hell, that way they could even make it a monthly thing like it was during its initial release.

They already have that Crystal Defenders thing on all the major consoles and the iPhone. Do it for a remixed version of BC already.

It's a better option than releasing it on Japanese cell phones only because those are no good to anyone here. =p

I've lost all hope for BC ever getting a release outside of Japan, guys. If it was gonna happen, surely it would've happened by now. It's now 5 years old. And I remember on AC.net, the user Shinra Employee #something talking about how he spoke to a S-E US rep and they essentially said they don't think the demand for it is really here for the US, and that coupled with the cost of implementing it with cell phones here and localizing made them essentially abandon it.

Yeah, I lost hope too. I think my idea of implementing it somehow in online shops PSN, Wii Shop etc would be made of win but sadly I think they cba.
I've given up hope just as I gave up hope that we ever get stuff like the KH Final Mixes.
Which makes me wonder...wtf is with the CoM remake. The US got it but what about Europe? >=/

I'm with you there. SE would had did it aready if they ever were going to release BC over seas.

If BC is going to be released in USA or Europe I think that the console for it would be wii. I don't have wii but I think that it's just a little possible because SE made FF IV: The After port for this console. So MAYBE someday we will see Before Crisis too I hope that it's possible :>

Well as I said before, BC as DL title would be best. Spread it across all the current gen consoles though to make it fair (I don't think FFIV TAY will stay Nintendo exclusive...at least I hope so for non-Wii owners.)

After they confirmed The After Years to Wii, Before Crisis got a small chance of comming outside Japan, but it's very small, due to the materia crafting mechanics (that use pics took by the cellphone camera)... but... who knows.... let's wait and see.
