I have yet to play this FF due to lack of PS3, though I've seen HCBaiily's LP of it.

Anyway, I like Blinded by Light. dat violin.

The "fighting Barthandelus" theme is awesome, I'm too lazy to look up which of those you listed is that theme... other than that, yeah, Blinded by Light is gorgeous. The 'fighting Eidolons' music is also cool. And the Archylte Steppe theme is really atmospheric and fits the location perfectly. Oh, and the Oerba theme! Love love that one.

You should totally trademark "jumpy sci-fi woo awesome".

I love the delicate ambiance of tracks like "Dust to Dust", "Sulyya Springs", and "Mysteries Abound". Those are some of my favourites for chillaxing. Also, throw into the mix "The Gapra Whitewood", "Will to Fight", "Lake Bresha" and "The Vestige" for some other great mood-setters.

"Sunleth Waterscape" is great up until it reaches the vocals (http://youtu.be/BXAm5-RrZlQ is what they should've gone for).

Snow & Fang have, by far, the best character themes. They're both completely epic and overblown.

I really liked XIII-2 tracks. Toss-up between all of Serah's themes and Arrow Through Time

Honestly, I liked the songs Mysteries Abound (plays at the beginning of Chapter 10), and Atonement (plays before you enter Hope's home in Chapter 7). It's really easy to sleep to them, as they are just so relaxing. I liked other songs too, but these two really need to be mentioned.

The Gapra Whitewood is another cool one to sleep to, very relaxing.

Primarch Dysley was another song that I liked. Believe it or not, The Vile Peaks was pretty cool. Dust to Dust and Serah's Theme were good as well.

The one thing I liked about XIII's music is that it tried to fit the technological and crystal themes. I found this cool, a homage to the fal'Cie.

Which brings up the two main themes - Japanese Kimi ga Iru Kara and English My Hands. Kimi ga Iru Kara makes me think strongly of the time travel aspect in XIII-2 (even though it's for XIII), and the strong bonds between the l'Cie/previous l'Cie come the end of the game in XIII. My Hands makes me think of the l'Cie, but also of the fal'Cie. With the fal'Cie it makes me think of how we are told, and shown via Barthandelus' actions, just how much they wish to know their creators, as well as wish to lead lives free, like humans do.

I feel XIII had a lot of good songs. They were different from previous Final Fantasies, yes, but they fit the game well.
