The Final Fantasy Character Battle continues with group 2, the only group not to feature any characters from the Playstation era. Instead, it's a showdown between old and new, or Classic and Neo if you prefer.

I voted Fang, because I used her a LOT in XIII. Sazh was a close second, and I have the feeling that if I had actually used him in my party I would have easily voted for him. Perhaps on my next play through... (yeah, when am I going to have the time for that? )

I did that in my second run, and it was totally worth it. Sazh is a good ravager and of course the best synergist. For my second playthrough I was more about being offensive, and with him in my team it worked pretty well. Fang/Sazh/Hope - dream team.

I will have to vote for Fang because she's an awesome dragoon with amazing animation and VA. Not only did I love using her in battle (killing Adamantoises with Highwind - FUCK YEAH!), but her story arch and characterization is really good as well. She's really something different - she stands out from a lot of other FF characters IMO. FF13 had two amazing female casts, and Fang and Lightning are the biggest reasons I'm a 13 fan.

Sazh is second because he comes so much alive. I think his VA is the best in any game I've played, actually. I believe everything his VA does. As I've used him in battle, I've learned that he's very useful (re rant above).

A third is Kefka. I'm still not sure if he's my favorite FF villain - he's battling Sephiroth and Caius for that one. But Kefka sure is a brilliant fucker. He's the most villainy FF villain I guess.

Oh and Lulu is awesome too. (I'm pretty sure the rest is awesome too, just haven't played those games, lawl)

I'm torn between Kain, Lulu, Fang and Sazh...

Kain because Liam O'Brien.

Lulu because she's just pretty amazing, straight forward, questions the very world she grew up on, protective of Yuna and an awesome black mage.

Fang because she's such an awesome woman with some incredible pride and will.

Sazh because I think he's one of the greatest father's I've ever seen fictional or otherwise.

I need to sit on this for a few days. Maybe it'll come down to a coin toss tournament or something...

I voted for Kain. I just thought that he was a really well-written character and his inner conflicts were ones that I thought made him really understandable. So, yes, Kain.

Oh god, Sazh or Kefka? Why not ask me air or water ;___; Oh Lulu and Fang? This is harder than the first character group.

Kefka is just a great villain and he's so fun to watch him cause chaos. He's such a good character, even Dissidia couldn't mess him up, do you know how hard that is?

Sazh is great just because he is. Out of luck father who does anything for his son, afro and Reno Wilson as his VA- all that good stuff rolled into one character. And his scene with Vanille is one of my favorites.

It's down to these two, I dunno who I'll pick.

From this group, I've got to say Fang. I just loved her character, she's a true heroine but not annoying about it.
