Work has been horribly understaffed lately thanks to wankers in New York who think we can run one of the largest book stores in the country on 75% of our usual hours. Ergo, stressful. Apparently our store managers spoke to them and sorted shit out though, so hopefully I'll be back to working moar as of next week.

And nothing except work, ergo bored.

I work at <a well-known book store>. Usually it's a great place to work, except when you're stressed out and have to deal with bitchy customers. Usually only happens around the holidays though; this is the first time it's happened apart from then.

Ugh, I always wanted to work there. But every time I apply, they are not hiring. It's like they never hire. I thought me being a librarian would help my chances of getting picked but so far no (and no, I have great credentials. So it's not my fault. I know they stopped looking at apps though). What does it take to work there?

I dunno lol, I just got lucky I guess. It wasn't my first time applying and I went to a job fair while they happened to be looking for new employees, so maybe the persistence impressed them.
