Tbh, I don't think economy will resuscitate until the housing market gets better. Iirc, population growth in the hardest hit cities (California, Vegas, and Miami) have pretty much gone stagnate. Which is neither good or bad.

Tbh, Brad Pitt is severely under rated, probably because of his looks. He's no Johnny Depp in terms of acting skill, but he's been able to play rather unique characters.
