Well, I wouldn't exactly call them my friends more than people who annoy the living daylights out of me and seem to talk nothing more but their boyfriends.

Sixteen year olds are so immature. I wish I was in college already.
sounds about right. I hated high school too but I still fit in better there than I did in college :monster:

But in college you can start being independent! I'll be glad when I finish high school.

Not saying that I don't hate all of my friends.

What do you mean?
It's probably just me. :monster:

I know grown adults who think Twilight is a "literary masterpiece". =(
LAWL, please show me.

Apparently a lot of people who go to the book store I work in think so too. Every time a customer buys a Stephenie Meyer novel, I die a little inside. Jesus wept.

:doublefacepalm:

also independence is awesome, but also a pain in the arse at times :monster:

@ V: Did you ever stop to consider the fact that those adults may be buying it for their preteens, not for themselves? :monster:

Well for example Ali, my Grandmother actually rants about how gorgeous and captivating it is. Then, my Cousin (who is nineteen, almost twenty) joins in, saying that vampires are such beautiful and fascinating creatures and were so very well portrayed in Twilight.

It makes me want to say: "There are no vampires in Twilight". They don't have fangs, they don't sleep in coffins, they sparkle, and they wear make-up. =/

Anne Rice's vampires are way superior to those sad excuses of "nocturnal" creatures in Twilight. Yeah, I know they walk around in broad daylight in twilight.

I feel dirty saying Anne Rice is superior to anything, but you're right Shade. :monster:

and with that, I'm going to bugger off to try to get some sleep. :wackymonster: G'nite everyone :awesome:

I've got to get to sleep... Everyone, take care of yourselves. Those of you with insomnia - please, I pray it will not last long. May sleep find you!

Regarding Vampires - *sigh* I still need to take a look at Twilight myself, but...

Vampires have never sparkled. Sunlight will hurt them if not kill them. They have fangs and hiss - at least have fangs. They are technically a sort of specialized zombie when you come down to it - they are actually dead, needing blood to live.

I still question Stephanie Meyer from all I read about her portrayal of vampires, as it sounds more like she's depicting a goth movement, not a supernatural being.

Bye V!

Also:

Stephanie Meyer? Bleh. Please, stop trying to change what vampires are and aren't. It's just lulzy.

Good night, Ari. Have a good sleep, and thanks for the best wishes to us insomniacs. I don't want sleep to find me, though. ;)

Also, I like how people are saying SMeyer is completely original, and that a story like hers (referring to it being about vampires) has never been done before. That made my jaw drop- ARE THEY KIDDING?
