Yes, it is very true. They also attempt to make baseball look badass, and fail. SMeyer also abuses the same three words over and over again, until you want to rip your hair out. Specifically, Chagrin, Perfect, and Sigh.

I don't hate him at all. He seems to realize how much his role fails. In his interview with SMeyer, he actually indirectly insulted her work, and she gave him a death glare.

Though reading Anne Rice is not much better. Almost a complete 100 pages in "The vampire Armand" consists of nothing but sex, sex, sex.
98% of that is sex between very old men and young boys. I feel like Anne Rice wrote it all just for her own pleasure rather than to add something important to the narrative. Uye.
