Already watched the version of "A Christmas Carol" that stars Patrick Stewart, and we always watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas". "It's a Wonderful Life" usually gets seen as well.

I believe we'll be watching A Christmas Story tomorrow. Other favorites of mine include the animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and A Charlie Brown Christmas. I haven't seen It's a Wonderful Life in years, and I feel like I should probably watch that again sometime.

Started yesterday with Christmas in Connecticut(it was entertaining, albeit a bit too silly in some spots). I love having movies marathons around Christmas(and Halloween). :D

Watched Meet Me in St. Louis earlier today. Love that movie so much.

Tomorrow we're gonna watch It's a Wonderful Life(like AvecAloes, I haven't seen it in a few years, so it'll feel fresher).

On the 25th we're gonna watch a bunch in a row. So far we've got Home Alone 1 & 2 down. I was actually looking for suggestions, too. Checked wikipedia's list of Christmas films, considering these:

- The Year Without a Santa Claus
- A Claymation Christmas Celebration
- Holiday Inn
- Scrooged
- The Holiday
- While You Were Sleeping
- Friday After Next

I also saw the first two Die Hard films in the list. :monster: It occurs to me that I haven't seen any of them, so I'll probably watch those, too.

I once spent Christmas with some people who literally left A Christmas Story on repeat all. Fucking. DAY!!!! I thus can no longer watch that movie, for fear that I will snap, murder everyone in ironic ways using the very gifts they receive Christmas morning, and have a crappy B-movie based on my true story.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is my all-time favorite Christmas movie which I pretty much watch every year. I always plan on watching more Christmas movies than I actually get around to, but I'll probably watch A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Also, maybe the stop motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for ultimate nostalgia because I loved it as a kid but haven't seen it in years.

Doesn't count as a movie but ill probably watch The Snowman at some point, and this year theres a sequel The Snowman and the snowdog. Probably watch Scrooged and Trading Places if theyre on and they usually are.

A Christmas Story, my cousin recently got that on dvd. I didnt know what it was called, I just remember the kid
getting his toungue stuck to the frozen lamppost
which was the most terrifying thing I had seen until I saw Alien. Can't get stuff out of the freezer without thinking of
it. Dont remember anything else about it so I should probably watch it again.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my favorite (cartoon variation) forever. There's just something so undeniably beautiful about that movie.

I like how 'It's a wonderful Life' is often seen as the ultimate Christmas movie while it's in fact a pretty dark film actually. It's not as 'feel good' as many seem to think it is, but it's always been marketed as such...

I guess if a good Christmas film is supposed to be an ultimate feel good film I suppose Singin' In The Rain would be my choice.

The ironic thing about "It's a Wonderful Life" was that it wasn't filmed to be a Christmas movie. It became known as one when a TV station (forget which one) found out the copyright had gone out on it and it was now public domain and started airing it around Christmas time.

I think it's one of the great misunderstood films of all time. Along with Verhoeven's Showgirls. Both for entirely different reasons, though,

I hate Christmas movies with a passion, :monster:.

Or well. Home Alone 1/2 were good back in the day. And the Grinch, for reasons, :monster:.

Thinking I should probably go and watch LotR or something tomorrow, like a boss. I think last time I did was a few years ago on my vintage old TV, DVD quality extended edition :monster:.

Die Hard also wins, :monster:. And maybe some ye olde Schwarzenegger movies like Conan, for corniness. His biography is quite an entertaining read, at least :monster:

If you only have time for one movie this year, I say go watch 'Arthur Christmas'. Absolutely brilliant, and surprisingly touching. From the people who brought you 'Wallace and Gromit'.
