For the most part, yeah. It's so much easier to get a bunch of ideas out quickly by hand than on the computer. Illustrator is a highly technical program so in my case I get really caught up with trying to get the fine details right. I mean I could show you the never-ending stacks of sketches I've made for logos for class but alas they are not with me.
