the only thing that tickles my fancy nowadays is that flapjack show
and thats it
There is nothing "adult" about Adult Swim anymore. Their humor is no different than Cartoon Network's. Except with more sexual innuendo, and toilet humor that you need a lobotomy to find funny.
I have Boomerang too, and that's starting to suck ass as well because they keep shifting their shit cartoons THERE too! And some aren't even fucking old! I'm sorry, but I don't watch Boomerang to fucking see "The Batman" or "Kids Next Door." What the fuck? If they didn't choke CN with all that live action shit, they could keep the shows that are relatively young off of Boomerang and let it keep the cartoons that deserve to be there.
Why the hell don't they show fucking Loony Toons anymore?
Dood are you kidding? Adult Swim is full of garbage completely different from Cartoon Network like Squidbilies, and a bunch of other worthless shit. The humor in those shows is complete garbage, unlike the CN cartoons where it's occasionally funny.
The only 2 good shows AS has are Boondocks and Venture, but they rarely show them(they only just now started showing Venture every night) and it's taking forever to get new seasons.
And there is no reality in reality TV.
Relax dude, trust me. I'm not arguing AS isn't shit. But I think CN's current line up is shit too. In the end they're all shit. No point in polishing a turd, right?
Exactly. Most of the shows that are good on AS are not even shown regularly. They just force feed us the same shit over and over again to try to give their viewers a long distance lobotomy.
Relax? Uh, what.
I'm just saying they have both different types of humor, one complete shit and one not.
I've gotten to where I can't stand 99% of the adverts they show now. Robot Chicken is good for a laugh though.
Also, Freakazoid!Stephen Spielberg needs to make cartoons again. Animaniacs, Tiny Toon, Pinky and the Brain, and the rest had the perfect balance of slapstick humor, snark, and witty pop culture observations that children AND adults could be amused at. Holy shit, were his cartoons ahead of his time. The guy had talent.
Now we're stuck with this horse shit now. It's terrible.
I remember watching Cartoon Network when I was like, 9 or 10 years old. Couldn't even properly speak English but enjoyed 2 Stupid Dogs and Dexter's Lab anyway.
I can't receive CN anymore so I don't know what everyone is talking about.

Dude, most of their cartoon's humor sucks ass.
Robot Chicken's great but it's not enough to redeem their fail.
Also, Freakazoid!
Spielberg's cartoons are just on another level. I recently watched a couple Freakazoid episodes on DVD, and still found them just as hysterically funny now as I did when it first aired. It's just great stuff.
I miss them airing Looney Toons, etc. Some of my favorite stuff is Tex Avery's MGM work. I believe they don't show it anymore due to the "violence". I know for awhile they cut out anything dealing with smoking or non-PC stuff. I just don't understand how they CAN show your run-of-the mill action show (say Batman or Naruto) in the afternoon to kids, those shows containing fight scenes (no blood or guts, but fighting)... but yet you can't show Bugs Bunny hitting Elmer Fudd in the head with a mallet.
And the thing with AS is, when it began in 01, it was groundbreaking stuff. As time goes on, it's less and less groundbreaking. I hardly watch it anymore because there is SO little original programming and then the original programming that gets on tv isn't always that great. And then there's the fact that they keep canceling shows after only a few episodes. Yep, let's air some more Family Guy, King of the Hill and Robot Chicken to fix that.
I disagree, Flapjack and Chowder aren't half bad.
Still enough to make me tune in once in a while. Once there's some new episodes of the boondocks and VS, I'll probably start watching more regularly.
I still miss Harvey Birdman though.

Perhaps, but that's not really giving them the ratings they want or hope for is it? It's pretty sad if CN can only get people to look at their channel for 30 minutes at a time due to how shit their programming is. They've fallen hard if it comes to that.
Well the sad thing is, I don't think there ARE DVDs of Looney Toons, etc. I think Tom & Jerry have them. I often regret my decision to not buy a fan-made complete Tex Avery collection DVD set... because I don't think such a thing, including the cartoons that aren't allowed to air on tv anymore (ones referencing WW2 for example), will ever be made.
Robot Chicken is extremely hit-or-miss, to me. I think they rely far too much on bodily function jokes.
I watch AS for Venture Brothers and Tim & Eric [dodges flames]. I used to be a big, huge fan of ATHF... but its quality has gone downhill with time. The last season was somewhat redeeming though. Space Ghost will probably always be my favorite AS show. Sealab was good for the first two seasons, then just completely (literally) jumped the Sharko.
It's just a big disappointment in general with any kind of entertainment lately. I feel like everything peaked in the 90s, and mostly everything's just been blahse since then- cartoons, tv, movies, video games, etc. Every once in awhile there's a shining star among the crap... but boy is there a lot of crap.
I fucking hate Tim and Eric with a burning passion.
homophobic blaccard!
