An excellent result and not surprising, considering recent events. Funnily enough, I recently found my disc copy of the game at my mum's when she was digging up remnants I'd left behind to get rid of.

Final Fantasy VII is the winner! There was no last-minute effort to push another game over the line. In fact, I didn't noticed any new votes in the last couple of days.

Watch out for a new thread in the next few days.

Got mah PSP version. I guess I'll just hang around where I am until you all catch up to me and then I'll finish the game with you all.

Weeeeell ok then time to break out the psp I guess. I gotta admit I did have fun during the last play through and its been a while since I played the game but can we plllleeeeassse vote for CC or V the next time everyone poor V, this is what like the 4th time this gem of a FF has just missed out

I know, I was really gunning for V this time, but alas. Disappointed again

Considering the fact that I just finished up the Cloud/Tifa in the Lifestream business, I won't really be joining this playthrough as a player, per se, but I'll probably answer some of the questions throughout the chapters.

Maybe I'll pick up when the playthrough catches up to my modded PC-playthough. But I don't even remember where that was. And having just closely followed the Relay and watching Avec's playthrough now, I may well not.

I probably would have voted for V this time if not for the remake announcement. Bearing that in mind I think any game other than the original VII was doomed.

Yeah, I think it's pretty safe to say V would have taken this one if the remake hadn't just been announced. VII hadn't even been nominated before E3.
