Oh...wow... Ite, thanks for this. I've been using the Train Graveyard picture for my desktop background for the last several weeks, but I wasn't aware he did more.

Apart from the incredible skill, I love his choice of locations. They completely run the gamut. I'd expect Junon, Midgar, etc. But drawing up close views almost like the prerendered backgrounds in the game is great.

Vincent's room looks a little...Elder Scrolls with all the skulls and candles, but really I can't find it in me to criticize anything. These are great.

I really love the Wall Market, the multilevel boardwalk thing is a great idea.

Everyone needs to look at all this awesome VII art right now.

The guy draws key scenes from the game and they're all amazing. This must be like awesome VII art discovery week or something, first that amazing Midgar image then this 0_0

Just breathtaking. My personal favorites are the Nibelheim scenes, especially the town proper and the mansion. It perfectly captured the sleepy, isolated ambiance.

I'm not so crazy about his 'realistic' Cloud and Tifa. But Mideel is just a gorgeous as the rest

But he definitely excels in landscapes. Very much so.

Same. Hope he goes back to landscapes soon, although since it's his thesis he probably will not. He'll probably rework the costumes, and then my guess is some monster or prop redesigns?

I'll still follow it. Mideel was bloody gorgeous!

I agree on the Cloud and Tifa ones though. They seem to be way too Hollywood for my taste. As I see it, his landscapes only benefit from the clear American influence - it's sorta Blade Runner and Star Wars, but still not quite - the characters, not so much.

He can actually do portraits pretty well, but these character shots arent so great. Its like how they made DBZ or if the did Akira as a western move. Just doesnt work

I love his stuff too. Jordan and I have discussed a collaboration to have an artwork edition of my first novel released containing some of his landscapes. Since he's busy right now with his studies, I don't expect it to be released anytime soon, though.
