Yes, Cloud apparently hasn't shook his...love for sexy, soft clothing. Badass transvestite that he is. :duhard:

Looking at the crossing dressing stuff, the only ones who can equip them are the women and Cloud. And Kefka :monster:

Also, I added report 7 to the first post. It's pretty random, really :monster:

Ah Cloud, never change.

And that report is certainly.... interesting. Especially since it almost sounds like something they would make up for VIII or VIII and it corresponds with Cloud.

Hmmm... I don't think I get the second report. Care explaining? :P

No one gets it yet. At least no one who has translated the reports for us. However some think this story may be connected to Chaos and Cosmos.

That was skipping 5 reports, so it is a bit confusing :monster:

No. 02 fills in some of the gaps, so I'll see about getting that one done later if I have the time.

Added no.02 and no.03 to the first post.

Little note, I arbitrarily called the child a 'he'. There hasn't been anything to suggest (unless I overlooked it) the gender of the child, so I just had to make the choice.

Okay, these reports are definitely related to the world of FF1- Lufenians, Skystones, etc. The Omega and Summoned beast mentions are odd, but those could both be lost by the time of the story, as the prior era sequence only occurs within the chaos shrine. My question is, is the child Chaos, Garland, someone else entirely?

Ryushikaze, MinoSpelgud's actually done a rough translation of all of the Cosmos and Chaos Reports, as well as the secret ending:

The report translations aren't as polished as hitoshura's yet, so there's some differences between the two of them, but it should still give you an overall idea.

Also, it's a definite that Dissidia's world is FFI's world. I mean, even more definite than it was before. The narrator of the Cosmos Reports (probably Cosmos herself) mentions -- in addition to the maker (Cid) of skystones and airships -- the town called the Wing of the Hawk, which is Lufenia.

She also mentions that the original Wing of the Hawk rose into the sky by virtue of a skystone. That's obviously the Flying Fortress, which is northwest of present day Lufenia (also called the Wing of the Hawk) in FFI.

Well, that explains what happened to the Summons and Omega...

And the snarky version of report 10 had me in stitches.

Hmm. I definitely think Cid of the Lufenians is involved, but I get the feeling that their kid is Chaos, since he seems to be the source of all the time wackery.

On the GameFAQs board, the general consensus is that Cosmos and Chaos are the ones writing their respective reports, and that Chaos is Cid of Lufein and Cosmos is his wife, and the child is Garland.

Yes, I saw that, but unless something comes out about Garland, who was a respected and established and honorable knight of Cornelia before getting chaos sharded, it seems a bit of a stretch.

Hmm. Hadn't really thought about that possibility (the child being Chaos), but I don't think it fits since Shinryuu is doubtlessly the dragon mentioned in the Chaos Reports, and it's also Chaos' summon.

Cid's got to be the narrator of the reports since he mentions losing his wife -- and since he apparently was the one to make a deal with Shinryuu, I'd think he'd be Chaos as well.

As for Garland, I admit that I'd always thought prior to Dissidia -- and even early on before we knew what these reports say -- that he was just a strong but otherwise normal knight possessed by Chaos' spirit or something.

But given his behavior in this game, his knowledge of the cycle, and the fact that he comes back after each death, I can't help but feel like this space-time distorting child was him -- especially since it was a powerful emotion that led to the space-time distortion happening in the first place. The Chaos Reports mention that Garland needs such a strong emotion in order to revive each time.

Also, the Cosmos Report (no. 7) where the distortion occurred mentioned that -- when the narrator was shot -- the child screamed and hate was reflected in his eyes as the distortion opened in front of him. Then, in the first Chaos Report, the knight was said to be "chained to the prison of time by his hatred born of love."

It sounds like Garland is the child to me.

It could be that they are deliberately changing the story of FF1, since Garland had an established, if sparse history in the story.

Maybe we're both right and both off. The Child is chaos, but Cid is now a part of Chaos by his own meddling?
Or here's a thought, entirely out there, Cid is Garland, as he seems to be the only one to properly remember, and he's actually using the whole cycle, whereas Chaos seems a mere part of it.
But that's just wild guessing, of course.
