She's quite spunky and she obviously had to be wily enough to elude Shinra for all of those years, right? Even if she isn't BEAT YOU IN THE FACE WITH MY FISTS like Tifa is, Aerith is very obviously tough.

I leik Clerif cause Aerith very obviously believes in Cloud and what he does and Cloud quietly believes in her and is willing to support her (leik when he says the 'But I'm...we're here' line). It's sort of like almost immediately, she'd love to be Cloud's personal cheerleader cause she likes him.

SO YEAR

Wow.

Okay, my point: I never said Aeris was helpless. However, everyone needs a little help. And on several occasions, she did ask for his help. And yes, she does believe in Cloud.

But, I was answered a question so I answered it. This is how I view their relationship.

sorry, i am used to people bitching about aerith being pathetically weak or people praising her as being such a delicate flower: neither of which I think are really true.

BUT EITHER WAY my stomach hurts so i am gonna go lie down for a bit.

I'm more into the friendship they had since I'm a Cloti fan, but I really do love Aerith's character. Not so much for Cloud, but I like their friendship as much as I like.... oh, he and Zack's friendship. For instance, Zack x Cloud isn't canon but I do like to ship them. xD I feel the same about Cloud and Aerith, I think they have such cute fanart. And I'm not really a fanfiction reader, but I watch videos and Clerith videos are SO good that they really draw me into the pairing. :3

Aside from fan stuff, I really like the scene in VII where Aerith appears to Cloud in his dreams. I also like her death scene - that scene made me cry and the very first time I played the game I didn't even like Aerith. xD I also enjoy her appearance in AC how her hand is the final one lifting Cloud up. (I wish the had included Zack there but meh, what can you do XD)

I love Aerith. I'm not particularly a fan of the pairing. But my all-time favorite scene between Cloud & Aerith is not the death FMV, but the part afterward when Cloud is holding her body and he says

Aeris is gone. Aeris will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry... or get angry... What about us... what are WE supposed to do? What about my pain? My fingers are tingling. My mouth is dry. My eyes are burning!

Ah...that is the part that made me cry

Pretty much, I feel the same way---except the opposite. Does that make sense? Basically, I ship CloudxAerith as a couple, yet I think CloudxTifa is extremely cute.

It is a very touching moment - and when Sephiroth says to Cloud, "Don't tell me you have feelings too?" Poor Cloudy.
