Dissidia Sequel Unlikely

I wasn't really hoping for one, but I suppose it would have been pretty neat.

Sure, Dissidia's awesome but come on...it's an anniversary game. A special crossover event for the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy. It'd be incredibly lame if this becomes its own franchise =/

Wasn't really expecting one anytime in the near future. But yeah, I wouldn't rule out getting another one eventually, particularly since Nomura seemed so keen on making one... don't know if that's necessarily good or bad.

Why would it be lame if Dissidia became a successful, fighting game franchise? It was a good game, and it'd be even better if it wasn't constricted on a PSP handheld and released on something that could fully realize the potential a game like Dissidia could have.

Even though it was a 20th Anniversary game for Final Fantasy, S-E has shown it can make a damn good fighting game. And that's what it is.

It's no different than when they talked about KH3 when Kingdom Hearts 2 was released in Japan or when Dirge of Cerberus was out and they talked about what the future of the Compilation was.

It's not like this is new or unexpected. They plan for sequels ahead of time all the time. And considering they've made their first fighting game and it was a success, it's pretty silly to expect them to just abandon the concept and never do it again.

Nomura literally said the exact same thing about KH2 Final Mix+ and low and behold, KH2 Final Mix WITH a complete remake of KH: CoM came out. I'd take his dismissal with a grain of salt.

They can use the fighting engine of Dissidia all they want, but they don't need to make another fucking sequel.

There's only oh so many reasons you can have for all those heroes coming together from all sorts of worlds again and again anyway.

And don't remind me of the Final Mix shit >.<
The fact they get all that extra stuff and a CoM remake that we don't really put me off the KH series in a way.
