Do you enjoy playing games with your significant other?

I do, and am gradually turning her into a gamer, but some time I just want to choke her >_< (not literally of course)

if we're playing a game where you can smash pots and stuff. she'll scour an area searching for every last thing to break. even once she's gone through it, she'll do it again just in case.
Or, like we're playing little big planet now, she'll refuse to move on to the next lvl until we find every item. Cant find something? Well break out the computer and find out.

i just wanna play the game, go back for items and etc. once we're actually finished the game, but she's so anal about it, it drive me nuts sometimes.

My ex and I played through Shadow Hearts and Star Ocean 3 together, and I enjoyed both. Though it's a very different experience from gaming alone.

For me, playing co-op is one thing, but competitive is another. Because I'm naturally attracted to gamers I find the guys I date are obscenely obsessive and good at their gaming and they usually end up very conceited about it. I much prefer to watch them play or play something seperately from them (they on the console and I on the DS for example) to avoid hearing the annoying line of "YOU SUCK I WIN AGAIN AHAHAAHAAHAAHAHA".

Or maybe I'm just a sore loser, who knows?

If we're talking about a game that's mostly based on chance (say, Monopoly) I'm much more willing as I won't get so badly creamed and open myself to aforementioned bragging and shit.

Oh and I have a friend new to gaming who also MUST get every item and discover all the secrets and beat all the optional bosses before taking on the final boss. It's just the way she is.

Sadly my ex and I never played a single game together, it was pretty sad. The closest we ever got to that was discussing how we'd whoop each other's butts. He was extremely stubborn and stupid about it and I was stubborn as well but far more reasonable.

To be fair, had we ever played video-games together it would've been very . . . chaotic. A lot of screaming and childish wrestling for control of each other's controllers would've ensued. Yup, that much is certain so I'm kind of glad I never got to play with him. Besides, I'm a total sore loser and so is he so there's another negative.

I haven't played any games with my current boyfriend yet sadly, but soon enough, soon enough.

Anyway, I enjoyed playing with my past boyfriend. He got me to play Call of Duty 4 and it was just a riot. I totally suck ass at that game, but there was a point when I got much better and pwned everyone by being a complete spaz.

It was fun. Those are some times I'll never forget, because we had so much fun.

But sadly, no, we've not played together at all. But soon enough, yes. We've already made plans to sit and force each other watch the other play various games - I'm supposed to play Resident Evil and Silent Hill, and she's going to play Onimusha and mebbe Chrono Cross. It's gonna be fun!

Anyways yes, I play games with my boyfriend. Though I have a similar issue described above where he'll either beat me all the time or get really frustrated if I beat him, so I tend to go easy on versus stuff (like Smash Bros) and let him play games while I watch, like FFVII for the first time.

My 'ex-boyfriend' and I used to play Super Smash Brothers together all the time. We were both really competitive though, so we always fought when playing. It was amusing though, in an immature way.

Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece. Chrono Cross... probably one of the first games that I beat that I really wish I had just given up on long before. But, I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it. XP

My ex began to lay off playing shooters after I started (he couldn't stand it that I was getting better than him, I bet ). But yeah, I roped him in for everything co-op from Gears of War to Tales of Vesperia.

Addendum: we play games like LittleBigPlanet and shiz together because that's what you're supposed to do. But we generally play our games by ourselves because that's what the experience is supposed to be about.

Last month my girlfriend and I played through Final Fantasy VII, that was pretty awesome We played a good amount of LittleBigPlanet too. She's also a bit of a completionist, scouring every corner for items no matter how many random battles she runs into. I don't play that way but it doesn't bother me terribly.
