There's nothing wrong with being glad that your girl is a gamer, since it is in fact less common than a guy being a gamer (though the gap is shortening rapidly). I'm more refering to people who formerly found it "odd" and "ungirly" to be into games, and then later on in life find it totally "sexy". The losers I knew needed to get with the program.

Also, Nin, that's a pretty sad story. That guy's really extremely lame. But trust me, I've been through that too, with an ex being all mad it's all over because of something that should be considered irrelevant. Sure it's great your gal is pretty and into games, but if that's the reason you're sad it's over, you've got issues, dude.

But then some guys think it's weird and ostracize girls when they DO play games. They get all mad, especially when the girls are kicking their asses Personally, I just see it as something fun that we have in common and that we can do together

My ex used to gush constantly about me being a girl gamer. It was pretty much the only thing I had going for me at the time.

But my bf and I play quite a few games together. We'll often just sit in silence for hours playing different DS games and then randomly blurt out "OMG I BEAT THE BOSS" or "OMG MY CHARMANDER'S EVOLVING". We'll play RPGs and I like just watching him play OoT, or he'll watch me play FFX.

....but when we play SSBB together all hells breaks loose. He's such a sore winner and I'm such a sore loser, to the degree where if either of us wins matches we'll get all pissy.
