Easter Egg Hunt!

The good ol' Cloud pose.

Correct me if it was there before.

Edit: Now that I think about it, my observation may be false. Could just be my mind seeing something that is not there.

Whats that tune Marlene is humming in the church, just before Loz walks in?

I'm not sure its anything, not that they've ever mentioned. Its funny cause when I first watched the movie that's where I was looking for an FF reference, not someone's cell phone :P

I thought it was shinras welcoming march, but that wouldnt make sense. Must be just a random tune

just when Cloud kicks Seph's ass and the rain starts comming down, there's this overview of a tower that has some antena-thing on the top that looks a bit like a One Winged Angel, that had me going "WTF?" for a good minute.

In Shademp's attachment, if you look to the far right on the counter there's (what could be a skeleton? version) of Cait Sith standing.

The only Easter Egg I know of is the bearded fuck who just won't die.

Cloud reads english medical books? :O
The world of FFVII has been a strange mix of english and japanese texts from the beginning. Although this is easy to forget. It sort of makes you wonder what is the "canon" speaking language of FFVII :P

Hmm, there should be more easter eggs...:shifty: Keep looking for 'em!

Clearly it's English and Japanese. It's not unusual for Japanese citizens to be able to understand Japanese and English. Ideally, they try to learn both.

And yeah, Cloud was reading medical books because he was trying to find a cure for Geostigma. That's hardly an easter egg, more like a plot point.

Well, Japan and England dont exist in FF7, so neither:whistle:... so Gaian I guess :P

True. It's just I half expected it to have a mix of both text on the cover or soemthing.

I didn't really say it was an easter egg. And yes, I knew what they were for.

I was just looking at the image and realized the texts on the cover were English, and I was just wondering. And it's not "clear" that it's in both language since it was never specified in the film; it's more of a general assumption in relation to the context of the culture in which the film was created — a culture I am not wholly familiar with.

I apologize if my surprise seemed misplaced and question too common sense. Thank you for sharing your great knowledge of ideal languages learned by Japanese citizens. >_>

In Japanese they also never (well...very rarely) use any of the suffixes (-san, et. al.). I always thought that could simply be a signal that they're not actually speaking Japanese but something else. ...Gaian, as you suggested. Good thing the whole world has one langauge (well, two if you count Cetran).

Oh, and Tennyo, I did notice that the FF7 game box was gone from the phone in 7th Heaven, but it is still posted on the wall with the moogle girl gets cured, I'm pretty sure.

In addition to the obvious two, there are a number of other nifty reflections in eyes.

In Kadaj's for example, you can see Cloud at one point, and Aerith at his death scene.
