All jokes aside, I'm getting a lot of support on Facebook, and I feel we won't get the DLC supply without the demand. Please I implore you all, every voice counts. Even if you don't want to buy every DLC, asking about it via email will help Square here are western voices.

I would love to E- mail them on why the hell why there's no FF6 or FF9 characters in Dissidia, but knowing SE they'll make up some bullshit about 'not having enough room ' or crap like that.

We've been demanding things of SE for years - quality games, Final Mixes, a remake of FF6 and FF7. I've set to see these things supplied to us.

I have no idea how I have to use this number but I'll obscure it anyway.

So yeah, rest assured, fellow Final Fantasy II fans.

...

Yes, I went on the non-serious route. Why? Because to be honest, I don't really feel like mailing them would make any difference, sadly that's how videogame industry (and hell, nearly every industry) works...

But still, I don't like to talk without trying, so here I am... I guess that's something to the cause, serious or not, and at least I'm sure it will briefly entertain the poor soul who has to navigate through all those mails, so everyone is happy! :monster:

You guys should really try it, I mean, what can we lose?

Excuse me, but this is very unproductive, we are asking for DLC already released in Japan, lets ask with some respectability. When the dlc costumes and music packs get a U.S. release, then we'll petition for DLC characters.
P.S. Minwu is awesome, lets also ask for a VI and IX character when that time comes, for now please ask kindly for English Dlc release.

DLC in general outside of Japan? Well, I can do that.

But, mmm, unproductive? not so much, serious or not, my mail is just one more amongst many more treating the issue of the DLCs, don't worry too much about what I wrote in there when you know it's true, the quality of DishidiaFainaruFantaji will gain many points with Minwu there, what counts is the sheer number of mails and fan support.

What we have to do now if we want them to notice is pass this to every fan we know.

Like they'd actually give you more than a standard automated e-response :P

Excuse me, stop being a dick. You're asking everyone to give a crap and waste ten minutes of their time emailing SE in a fruitless venture, begging them for something that's already been decided - they already know if they're going to release it or not, and so harassing them with emails (that probably won't be read, because when do companies read emails that are requests, other than things that are flagged as requiring followup for defective product/whatever?) isn't going to get anything done.

And where do you get off commanding people to do thus and such thing in precisely the way YOU want it done? Last I checked, he wasn't on your payroll and you've never saved his life (so he can't owe you some massive debt).

Furthermore, this guy's just done what you asked - emailed them about DLC - and now you're telling him 'uh yeah, no do what *I* want, please', which is passive-aggressively belittling what he did. You're insulting his efforts by telling him to 'ask kindly and with some respectability', when you're giving him no incentive to do so, or to even honor the original request.

YOU DIDN'T EVEN THANK HIM FOR EMAILING THEM

Absolute ingrate.

DEFINITELY not emailing them now.

I'm telling him not to curse Square out, and quite frankly if we all ask for random characters, Square won't just start making these dlc from thin air. That's why where asking for what Japan got and we didn't, equal respect to fanbases. This is a sort of activism, and your being a rash prick. If we get these Dlc, I'll open a poll on which VI and IX character we should ask for. Furthermore I am grateful for his actions, and thanked him when he got the point, but cursing out Square over Minwu is counterproductive at the moment. I'd personally prefer Leon, but my general consensus is that the members here want Minwu. Lastly petitioning shows demand, If Square sees dozens or hundreds of emails, they will see a potential profit. I appreciate everyone's help, but am doing this on multiple sites, and so I request support, not needless criticism.

As a quick response to Omega's words, if you are offended by my criticism, I appreciate, your input patience and participation.

I didn't say "click a button that thanks his post". I said you didn't thank him - as in, typing words of gratitude, such as the rather ubiquitous "thank you".

And yeah, I am being a bit of an ass - though certainly not a rash one. That said, the ass response kicks in when someone is being a bit of an ass themselves. He's doing you a favor, and it's his right to do it in his own way, in his own time. It's not being gracious on your part to basically say "you're doing it wrong" when he doesn't have to help you in the first place.

Additionally, "dozens or hundreds" isn't going to be anywhere near enough to catch Square's ear - try 'hundreds of thousands'. And asking people's opinion on what DLC they want AFTER IT IS RELEASED is rather ineffectual.

And if you don't see the point I'm making, then you don't see, either, how this critique of your methods is entirely necessary.

hint: I don't care one whit about Dissidia but would have helped if you hadn't come on in such an authoritarian manner

Don't worry, I'm not offended, I actually knew my rather unorthodox way of contribute could end up like this. But I felt like you didn't read the little explanation I put on the same post as the screens:

Yes, I went on the non-serious route. Why? Because to be honest, I don't really feel like mailing them would make any difference, sadly that's how videogame industry (and hell, nearly every industry) works...

But still, I don't like to talk without trying, so here I am... I guess that's something to the cause, serious or not, and at least I'm sure it will briefly entertain the poor soul who has to navigate through all those mails, so everyone is happy!

As I said before, I don't think this is going to be that great, Square-Enix is an ENORMOUS company and even then, North America's S-E just kinda follows orders of Japan's S-E (and we all know the kind of things they LOVE to do to us... Final Mix, anyone?), also, in Videogame Industry, this kind of things hardly work, so... Yeah. There's little we can do, realistically speaking.

BUT, just saying that, while shrugging and watching you condescendingly is not the type of things I like to do, so yeah, I went up and helped your cause. I didn't mean it 100% seriously, but it wasn't trolling either, just a way of showing some quick support, you see. I mean, they won't even read it properly (they don't have time for that), so a single, not-so-serious request it's not that of a big deal.

Just wanted to expand a little on my point.

Oh, and thanks Omega, I appreciate the comments.

PEACE AND LOVE MY NIGGAS, PEACE AND LOVE.

Hmmm, until now, Square-Enix has been nice to us with Dissidia (Universal Tuning doesn't count because bleh), let's hope this applies with DLC and they share everything with everyone. More money to them, more DLC to us :oscar:

EDIT: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-04-13-dissidia-012-dlc-detailed

So it appears there won't be need for much worry. Oh, and yeah, that's for Europe... But it's a matter of time before NA info surfaces.

I just sent this e-mail:

seemail.jpg

I'm less concerned with DLC costumes than this.

Thank You, this is very productive. To counter previous criticisms, this email legitimately asks for a service we've been denied. I'd prefer DLC, but this is a good thing to ask for as well. When I refereed to the guy's Minwu comment as unproductive, it was because it had vulgar language and an unrealistic request. I will email about these quests myself now.

Not going to lie. I feel safer sleeping at night knowing that the ultimate authority on e-mails has rubber stamped at least one of our efforts to get in touch with Square-Enix. Heaven forbid we do something unproductive whilst toiling beneath his cruel, condescending and steely gaze. He might post another reply full of demeaning and ungrateful, passive aggressive, self-important tosh.

And that would be the last thing any of us would want I'm sure.

Sarcasm aside, 'the guy' has a username and it would be common courtesy to use it. Unless of course you were deliberately not using it in order to belittle his contribution, which seems par for the course as far as your attitude goes.
