Seriously, nah, White Mage is a chick. Most of the auto-names in FF1 are female names, a lot of artwork of White Mages show them as females. List the famous White Mages
Female White Mages - Rosa, Porom, Garnet, Eiko, Yuna, Penelo
Male White Mages - uuuuuuuuuh.....coming up empty. The closest is Banon, but he's an Oracle.
I'm not being sexist, it's just tradition, White Mages tend to be female.

Well I remember reading that when the game came out it was intended for White Mage to be a guy. But nowadays people draw White Mage as a woman because that was the general misconception and SE kind of went along with it?
