Rurouni Kenshin is the only manga that was actually pleasing for me to read from beginning to end. Even if your not a frequent manga reader, I'm sure you'll find the plot of Kenshin quite entertaining. Read it folks.

I've only ever read two full manga series. One was Hot Gimmick, which was good until the double ending, and Remote, which was good all the way through.

HG ended with my OTP, but the girl seemed very sad that she was ending up with this guy. Then the author came out with an 'alternate ending', where she ended up with her step-brother, and was over joyed...I just felt ripped off because she was leaning towards my favourite guy and her being really happy together despite their issues. This all sounds girly, but it was one of those mangas that has no plot other than the LTs.

Remote is about a police woman who has to work as the eyes and ears of another genius police officer who stays confined to his house. Every issues ends the previous ones mystery, and starts a new one. It was really well written.

Only manga I have read is Death Note. Though I want to read FMA since it's different from the anime.

I dont know what my favorite anime is. At this point in time, it's probably a mix up between Rahxephon and Death Note, but in two completely different ways. Rahxephon probably for the romanticism.

I'm not a big fan of stuffs, but I have enjoyed Hellsing and, back in the day, DBZ (zomfg, it's over NINE THOUSAAAND!). On that, they should hurry up with the OVA's, fgj.

I still love DBZ and my friends and I have been collecting the seasons on DVD. Sailor Moon was also very entertaining, and Pokemon :monster:
Digimon fell through in the third season.

... The Bone Collector? :monster:

Death Note is the only one I've ever read all the way through. Whenever I had money to spare, I've been reading X/1999 and Hokuto no Ken. But I rarely have money to spare lately :monster:

X/1999 is a disappointment because right near the climax of the series, it ends. It's been on hiatus for over 10 years I believe -____-;

Some I Like: Sailor Moon, Escaflowne, Evangelion, Pokeymanz, Digimon, CLAMP stuffs, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Miyazaki, Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Gundam Wing, Death Note

I used to be really big into manga/anime and whatnot when I was younger. I'm not quite as into it anymore. I still read the occaisional manga if it looks interesting, but mainly I just go back to my favourites. Plus, I don't think Japan really has alot going for their film industry other than anime (I don't find their horror flicks scary).

One movie I've seen lately that I thought was really good is called "The Girl Who Lept Through Time." It's a sci-fi/romance, and I really really liked it. It's a little on the girly side, but it's the kind that gets to you.

That's why I was reading it :monster:

I have the novel of "The Girl Who Lept Through Time" but still haven't started it.

Once upon a time, it was Neon Genesis Evangelion. After rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist a few weeks back, however, Evangelion has been toppled from its pillar.

I like Neon Genesis.

Other then that, it's Death Note, Dragon Drive and Naruto.

I've watched many anime's, and I have a lot of favourites, but the ones that will always stand out are Evangelion, Excel Saga and Code Geass.

Currently I'm in the process of watching Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the shell: Stand alone complex, Cowboy Beebop and Black Lagoon, all of which I think are brilliant!

Other notable mentions are Azumanga Daioh, Full Metal Panic!, Elfen Lied, Haruhi Suzumiya and Bleach.

I read Naruto religiously, though right now I'm at the point that all I want is to see it end. It's gone so far away from what I loved, and who I loved in the beginning that right now I'm looking for closure.

Favorites though: Bitter Virgin, Absolute Boyfriend, Kuroshitsuji, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain...

<<" I think that's it. These days I'm far more into manga then anime...

I like FMA, Yugioh (Japanese version only! No comment about the translated version =D )

I also really liked Slam Dunk despite it being like, super old.

Anime-wise, aside from FMA and Slam Dunk, I like Slayers a lot (still debating if the new series is good or not though :-\)

I used to read mangas much more than I do nowadays. The only one I keep up with anymore is Naruto. Say what you will, but I've always been fond of it.

I think the last series I actually bought was Eden. Pretty vulgar, but good :D

For manga my favourites are Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) and Hana-Kimi. :3 I've read both right through and absolutely loved them. Loved them so much I read all 36 volumes of BOF again and watched the Japanese drama for Hana-Kimi. And I just read and enjoyed Volume 1 of KH: CoM, which I got for Christmas. (:

For anime, it's gotta be FMA, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. ;] They're awesomely awesome.

Animé:
Full Metal Alchemist (wow, what a surprise)
I can not describe the awesomeness of this series. The only downside is that there were too many moments intended to make you cry.

Lucky Star. Very fulfilling with its earthbound style. Also the intro is awesome.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. Feels like a mix between Lucky Star and FMA. In other words, a more balanced and easier series to watch than the two above. Although I can't say anyone takes the #1 spot above the others.

Did anybody here watched The Vision of Escaflowne? That was the I've watch albeit not religiously but I remember liking it. The ending was quite sad though.

Manga/ anime I would recommend would be:

Azumanga Daioh
Excel Saga
Fruits Basket (manga not the anime)
Gravitation (manga not the anime)
Hellsing
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Project A-Ko
Fist of The North Star (forgot these 2)

I prefer reading manga to watching anime as a lot of the time, i hate how the adaptions turn out :/

Fave manga atm have to be Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn (Though i've had a soft spot for this for years now), Neon Genesis Evangelion: Gakuen Dateroku and a friend recently introduced me to a nice little smutty series called Midnight Secretary.

Anime wise, i have a good friend of mine to thank for getting me addicted to Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu; a niche little series thats both insanely cute and surreal.
The original Evangelion series, Serial Experiments Lain and Saikano will always hold special places in my heart but for contemporary anime, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Seto no Hanayome and Soul Eater are amongst my current favourites
