Odd, you're the second person to note that about the Ghost. Must be a glitch because the triggers for Ghost are that and "?????", so...yeah.

As for the Cids, "Cid" will trigger both of them.

EDIT - Did some testing, for some reason "The" triggers Ghost. Dunno why but I fixed it now.

well a bunch of FF2 people. in my defense though, I only played it once a long time ago, lol. Forgot all the guests. (so there's 6 right there - although I remembered Josef but I spelled it wrong so I thought I was wrong )

Ones that don't surprise me:

Ones I'm ashamed of:
Kiros, Ward, Laguna, Cyan, Galuf, Beatrix, Reddas

I had Cyan, Galuf, & Reddas on the tip of my tongue too, and I just couldn't think of their damn names. Brain failure.

For FF1 I tried putting in "Fighter" and it didn't go through so I thought I was doing something wrong and just skipped that entire section, lol. It was driving me crazy that I couldn't think of the three I was missing in FFVIII. Herp Derp I forgot about Laguna and co. For some reason my mind went very blank. xD

I also kept thinking of the nicknames I gave the characters instead of their names fuuuu.

And last minute I thought THE SPOONY BARD. Edward was my very last point...

I kept on putting in Richard in, but it wouldn't go and found out that it was spelt Ricard... wtf SE ?!

I couldn't spell Palrom and Porom, Fuyosa or Balthier so had to miss those ones out. I spelt Fuyosa as it was on SNES, or how I remember it from the SNES as FUyoSa. Maybe, it was a bugged game ? xD

But missing Cait Sith, Snow, and Shadow.. asjaskakasjakajakajak....

Really, cause the first time I did it, it only accepted it for Cid Highwind and I had to type out Cid Pollendina in total.

Also, took the test twice, got 114 the first time (I was installing a vidjergame at the time, and thanks to its distraction and general freezing, time ran out as I was getting to the NORA members.) and 116 the second, with 7 minutes 6 seconds spare.

I was having trouble with the fifth FF3 character until I remembered they were originally called Onion Knights and for ages I couldn't remember Red Mage for FF1. I woulda got Reddas wrong in FFXII if it wasn't for the fact I've been watching video cutscenes recently of FFXII.

FF2 kept me thinking the longest, that's the one I couldn't get; Scott, Guy or Gordon, I haven't played FF2 in ages and haven't completed it, so it's no wonder I couldn't remember these guys. I'm still pretty pleased with my efforts though especially with FF6 its quite hard to remember every character in there.
