So? Isn't it good that SE are broadening their horizons a bit? It's a games console that's popular and has good sales, it makes sense for SE to take advantage of it and release games for it.

It's not the fact a FF game will be on another system, it just doesnt make sense. If you release the first game on lets say the DS, then the sequel is on the 360, Id think thats stupid since the people who bought it, and the mostly likely the candidates to buy the sequel, would be left out and would either have to buy a completely new console, or not play the game at all.

I'm in Osaka. I go to school in Kyoto though. Either way, the 360 aisles barely have anyone ever browsing, despite the fact that the big stores like Bic Camera and Yodobashi are doing their best to push the big RPGs like Star Ocean 3 etc. Problem is, no one seems to be buying. Not to say the PS3 aisles are much better, but they certainly aren't worse.
Handhelds win as far as popularity seems to be concerned.

HD consoles arent really the thing in Japan right now, which doesnt make much sense to me since Japan is usually all on top of the technology stuff.
Then again, in the bigger cities I assume they are on the run more, so handheld gaming makes sense as being the big thing.

The interesting thing is, despite the 360 generally having more games out than the PS3, the size of the 360 aisle always seems to be about the same size as the PS3 one. Sometimes even a little smaller.

Really, though, FFIVTA And BC need to be on Handhelds. And I do mean in the plural. They can both go on the DS and PSP with no issue, and the games definitely need to be portable.
