No, they don't look like drawings. They're 3D models, but better rendered. One of the best ones I saw apparently somehow took character models from Kingdom Hearts or something, and they got them in the game.

This is in Spanish, but it's interesting the difference it makes with more realistic looking models. Of course there's a little bit of weirdness with a few of the poses, but for what it is, it's pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKRpBaD0M8s

Both of those vids are awesome. Those models look really amazing. Sure the animation is awkward at times but I'm assuming they are all based on the game's own animation?

But still, wow, that is what we could be given for a remake and I would be happy.

Yeah, it's amazing to see how much one small graphics patch affects the game. I've looked at most of the videos by that umjammerlammy person on YouTube, they've done an amazing job. I just wish they had more!

There are also a few people who have ripped videos from all the newer games and ACC and re-edited them to "remake" certain scenes from FF7 (someone did the ending sequence and the Gold Saucer dates, for example).

Just out of curiosity, does anyone think if they did a graphics overhaul on FF7 and made the chibis full-sized, and made the FMVs look like ACC, that it would change the game's rating? I think as it stands, it's a "T" for cartoon violence and swearing. Would more realistic graphics (more realistic sexual undertones and more realistic violence) cause it to bump up to a stricter rating?

Now that I kind of look at it, Advent Children is rated PG13, so maybe not. Just curious though.

"Comic mischief" was the rating it got for its sexual stuff, I'd be curious to see what that would be come witt more realism. I guess just "sexual content."

I don't think it's so much a matter of the rating changing, as the content. I don't see them keeping the $%#@*& for swears, but I also don't see them putting the real words in either. It's an interesting situation.

Wow, they look really good. Though, I see what you mean about some of those poses. At one point it looks like Tifa's put her hand in Aerith's groin- and leaves it there a little too long.

I was seriously LOLing for the first minute and a half. Looks really awkward. I appreciate the effort of the editer though. The amount of footage they had to work with doesn't exactly make it easier.

Well ACC was never rated, so who knows? But I don't think there was anything in FFVII that would warrant a raise in the rating.

Well, I was thinking the Aeris death scene. If it's more realistic looking, would that make them bump the rating up? I'm guessing not, since AC's battles were pretty brutal and it got a PG13.

Depends how graphic they made it, as generally I dont think a girl getting stabbed through the gut with lots of blood pouring out is PG13 material.

Well as for the PS3/PSP FFVII, they didn't fix the translation errors, I lawled when Aerith said "That guy are sick" or something like that. hah. But nope, it's just a clone basically.
