I think your both right since which game is better largely depends on perssonal taste. So while FFVII may be the best to you, your BF can have a different opinion that is equally valid.

I'd have to say VII is the best of the best myself, but of course other opinions are, as Noctis pointed out, entirely valid. This is an agree to disagree kind of argument, unless you are both just enjoying a playful argument of some sort.
