Hopefully that image sums up exactly what this thread title means! :)
(My friend drew all the characters - I just can't draw)

After reviving a dead project from years ago, starting from scratch, I am happy to present the first piece of fiction I have written in many a year. Final Fantasy: Battle Royale captures the heart of Koushun Takami’s critically acclaimed novel, Battle Royale. Set within a combined world of many FF locations, including VII, VIII, IX, X and XII, the FF: BR brings together a host of famous characters and throws them into an experience like that of “Battle Royale”.
I hope for reviews such as "OMG, you BASTARD!! She was my FAVOURITE CARACTRE. Tat woudlnt happen! die u c*nt"

Please visit The Website for the best reads in PDF version
You'll also find individual character portraits, maps and a lot more detail (such as a dedicated 'Glossary' and succinct 'Backstories' section to each FF game [for those not familiar with every title used])

Alternatively, you can read from FanFiction.net, Wattpad, Inkitt, Archive of Our Own and now DeviantArt *phew*
(And I would happily accommodate anyone wanting to, for example, read directly from a MS Word document or similar)

I would also loooooove you to click 'Like' on my new Facebook page - sometimes, a simple 'Like' can tell me the work is being acknowledged enough, and help boost my ego build my confidence melt my heart with gratitude

Thanks, guys! And, please: anything you want to know about anything, I would love to answer :)

I loved Battle Royale, so this is definitely intriguing to me. I might download the PDF and check it out. :)

^ Great :D Thank you so much!

The story has a lot going on in the fact that it is a new world, too, but it only helps add to the drama later (the psychology and the character testing [and other relevant stuff down the line]) - the entire first part (it's a 2-parter) is already written, just one final touch-up needed on each chapter.

And, seeing as you're obviously a FF fan, I hope you enjoy getting to know about this new world and in relation to the characters' lives in it at the time :)
(Before things get...messy)

Is it finished? Would you be up for a shoutout exchange? I'm up to 10k Twitter followers I can pitch your link to if you wouldn't mind giving me some love on your own social networks in return. Let me know :).

To say I appreciate your message would be an understatement! :)
Thank you!

The first part (of two) is finished, yet I have not uploaded it in its entirety. I want to go through one final edit of each chapter beforehand, and to help keep the momentum going before I can get around to Part II (i.e., I don't want to have the entire thing up, with nothing to wait for until at least another year, especially while I'm just starting). All that, and I'm helping my auntie through editing her children's book right now.

Now, with that being said, my following is incredibly slim, to say the least, as I haven't yet attempted to spread it beyond my own friends (and here). When I have at least four chapters up (they're quite long, but broken by clear sections), then I'll begin a bigger push in whatever way I can.

So, I most definitely would like to take you up on this, but I will wait a little while first - half the reason being that it's like I'd be exchanging my first undergraduate essay for your doctoral thesis :monster:, even though (naturally) I'd continue to mention you at different periods in the future as (or if, haha!) I pick up more fans.

Thank you very much for your offer, and I will be back to you in the near future regarding it. I'll have to have a look at your piece in the meantime - though I'm not familiar with Crisis Core that much, something tells me I won't have to be familiar anyway :)

Well you've got a website. That's more than I've got :D

It's all cool, I'm down to get behind other fan novelists and see how far we can push each other. This is all a big experiment in marketing to me and the lessons I've learned have been invaluable, and one of the most valuable lessons I've picked up is to always get your fellow aficionados backs (unless they're douchebaggy, lol). I've seen it increase a following kinda like a spider web, where even if you don't have any followers and I have a lot, I shout you out and even if only a handful of my following likes what you've got, more ppl end up following me anyway bc they see I list a lot of similar things that they might potentially like. And of course it benefits you bc, ya kno, traffic. I'm kinda in awe of the whole system, I thought Social Media was just going to be a fad in high school.

So there's many ways we can help each other. How did you make your website? I'm working on getting one eventually for my author handle and maybe we can do a link exchange or something. And by the time I figure out how to code you'll probably have written a whole library of content hah.

Indeed :)
I have seen some FB pages of similar projects shoot up in followers over the last while, one example being a FFVI novelisation.

Over time, multiple occasions of sharing and shouting out for others really help build fanbases. It just takes a friend of a friend to see said friend has clicked "Like" on a page/post/picture they themselves would like. After some time of this, and the project owners share again (like passing a ball back and forth), more people have the potential to see the works.

Anyway, as for my website, I have little experience in coding. I had dabbled in it a bit years ago when my friend owned a blog, but nothing much since. So, I've actually created it using a preexisting template from Wix.com - well, I used the template, and then changed so much of it (naturally, but there are a lot of aspects changed that really make it unrecognisable from the original). It's nothing too special the site, but I find it's really easy to navigate, and just as easy building it :)
It costs me only about €12 a month, which is nothing since I found a way to save €20 a month on phone bills back in August :monster:
The cheapest option is somewhere around €4 a month, but you'll have Wix ads and a Wix URL. But there is an €8 that really does the job (especially if you don't plan on having many images on the site - or any other large files). Otherwise, Google sites is free (I hope it still is) and easy to construct (I used it years ago when I was Class Rep in college and needed a place for the class to download all the notes they needed!)

I think we're both on the same page when it comes to coding :awesome:
I'm going to be starting my original novel soon, but every time I do something else that is not me writing my novel, I can't help but think about how I could be starting! So, I'm happy with using templates over getting to grips with coding again :P

Chapter III now available

From the link, just click the image of the cover page for the updated PDF.
As always, anybody wishing to know anything at all about it, let me have it! :)

I've been pretty lacklustre on the FB page and whatnot, but I hope to get more actively engaged around the time the 4th/5th chapters are out.

For now, gotta get started on my Halloween contest entry, otherwise it's first draft material going through the doors! :monster:

Chapter IV & V

Writing "The Passion of the Stigma" was great - now it's time I got back to updating this. It'll take a long time, but I'll hopefully reach all the right audiences with it someday.

As always, anybody wishing to know anything at all about it, let me have it! :)
