Final Fantasy is a Train Wreck

Final Fantasy's design can be pretty stupid at times but when you're pointing to the outfits of the characters as one of the biggest flaws of FFXIII then you got problems, son. I mean, the admittedly often outlandish outfits of the characters pale in comparison to how freaking linear the game is.

Ignoring clowd, I think the scrutiny in the LR thread is healthy and perfectly reasonable. Don't be afraid to say you like the game or whatever. No one likes an echo chamber. At least, I don't .

eeeeehhh i think design complaints are legitimate.

i like final fantasy and all but some of the character designs are just embarrassingly bad.

some people will just care more about that than others and that's okay.

But as hito pretty well illustrated, XIII-proper wasn't really one of them. People had shit-fits over Sazh's afro...and that's really the worst they could find with the character design. Everyone is fairly simplistic and practical, nor is there a plethora of belts or zippers.

Like I said, the worst ones were probably NORA, for not fitting in the game world at all, and they weren't done by Nomura, despite the OP going after him so.

If I think a character's design is stupid I will say so. However, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad game. I'm a huge FFX fan and I mean, look at Tidus.

While we're on the topic of FF outfits, I hate it when people complain that the women in FF's outfits are too revealing, when the men's outfits are just as revealing. Just look at Kuja, or Jecht, or Golbez in TAY. SE clearly likes to fanservice both genders.
