Though I've been unable to participate, I have been reading this thread, and have to echo this. Really enjoying reading you guy's experience with the relay.

Not on my first playthrough no, but I've done it every time since. And I mean every single time. I always forget about all the scenes you can have with your party members because I go to the inn too early. I usually miss the interesting scenes too because of my party choices. I'd like to see a video compilation of what each character is doing tbh, because there are some I've only gotten once or twice.

Yeah I don't think I've ever had Tifa and Yuffie on my party before in Costa del Sol. So I was used to seeing Yuffie selling materia with the guy, and Tifa talking to Johnny. Although the stuff Johnny says to Cloud when he's not talking to Tifa is...interesting.
He's creeping on the chick in the bathroom and runs away from the door when you enter. Remembers that Cloud left and became a SOLDIER...

Damn, dude.

So I decided to test out the emulator (PCSXR) to get used to how it works and (surprise, surprise) I'm having a few difficulties with it. I hope it's just something I can change in the configuration.

I've got it up and running but the sound skips occasionally and throws a wobbler when I get into battle. It's also stalling a little when going into battle. I've ticked the 'Adjust framebuffer access' but there's no battle transition/swirl. Just stalls and then I'm in battle. Also jutters a little when I'm just walking so maybe it has something to do with the frames? (Knows nothing about computers)

Also the battle/action select screen is just a

Knowing me it's something I messed up when I first configured the bloody thing. So any help would be appreciated

(Oh no. Reading back a few pages I think it may be the same thing as what happened with Arya. I hope not)

Force managed to solve that black box issue yesterday. I think it was by enabling (or increasing the value of) off-screen drawing in the graphics plugin settings. Also, make sure frame skipping is off.

I don't know what causes the audio stuttering, but I've had trouble with the battle swirl as well, and I don't think there's much that can be done about that one.

Thanks! The black box has been solved but the stuttering is still going on. The sound doesn't bother me as I can simply turn the sound down. I'll mess around a bit and see what I can do but it's more of a pain to watch than anything else really. Sitting around for 10 seconds before going into battle is going to be annoying as hell but it does make me nostalgic for some reason, perhaps there was another FF game that did this to me? Hm. Anyway thank you again.

In case anyone is wondering what's happening right now, Dragonslayer Ornstein told me by PM that he would start playing the chapter yesterday evening, and he has until the end of tomorrow (Wednesday) to finish it.

Yeah, that would be the easiest thing to do, like when Lex played Carlie's chapter. If he only wants to do one, that's fine too.

At this point I was eager to show Lex how to play this minigame without being a utter coward about it and I pressed F7 instead of F8 and the game crashed. I'll pick up again once my fingers have recovered enough to redo all my hardwork at the the armwrestle machine.

Wasn't much opportunity for fun screencaps in the rest of the chapter. Dyne was easy enough, even tho Barret was underleveled and stuck with an Iron Bangle to boot.

I normally load each player's save just to check everything's alright before handing it to the next player, but I didn't have time yesterday. Sorry, Teiocho!

Kuroto has confirmed that she can play the ninth chapter, so I'll sort out the playing order for the next part of the game - or the rest of the game, probably - as soon as I've got one thing sorted out: Ornstein, do you want another chapter later on?

I'm a bit unclear on your answer. I don't want to let people pick their own chapters (though I'm willing to take real life considerations into account, as before), so can you just say if you want to play again or not? I'll draw the playing order randomly, but if you say yes and get a chapter you don't like, you can offer to trade.

I'll stream my chapter if I'm at home when I play it. If I'm on my laptop I won't bother.
