Final Fantasy VIII locations IRL

Hi Everyone,

For those of us who love Final Fantasy VIII and want live out those locations IRL. Post real life locations that look like FF8 locations in the game. Below are ones that I think are similar. I know there are many more to account for so please add yours to this as well. Thanks! This should be fun.

Balamb Garden: Grand Hyatt Kauai

Deling City: Paris, France

Galbadia Garden: Florida Polytechnic University

Winhill: Faroe Islands

Orphanage: Paphos lighthouse, Cyprus

Deling City definitely has a Paris vibe. Very true.

Dunno about Galbadia Garden being Polytechnic University but that's an interesting comparison.

I think Deling City reminds me more of San Francisco because of those buses.

I see what you mean. They also compared it to some Chinese towns too. FF8 took heavy inspiration from Egypt, Greece, France, and other parts of Europe.

Esthar could easily be called "New Edge City". Well, New Edge isn't a city, but a design language used by Ford to make their cars curvy. Eshar reminded me of that style.
