Hi.
Before anything, I must thank everyone who was involved in the 2012 project of dubbing into English the Final Fantasy XIII novel, Episode i (in case you don't know what I'm talking about: http://thelifestream.net/lifestream...57/tls-presents-final-fantasy-xiii-episode-i/).

Now I'm posting this (my first post btw) to also say thank you because your job was so good, it prompted me to translate it into Spanish (my mother language) and modify it into a Visual Novel, adding tempos, background images and text. It's been a very fun experience for me and I also hope you like it.

I've just uploaded the first chapter to my YouTube Channel (link to the video below) and as it should be, I credited you all over the place in the video. I hope you like the final result. My channel is mostly about RPGs in Spanish, but there are so many great works in other languages that I just couldn't miss this chance.

And I know I'm getting repetitive, but great job, guys! I want to keep listening to your audiobooks :)

I leave you the link to the video. Enjoy!

I've been thinking of getting some of our youtube stuff subtitled in different languages, especially spanish. Just not sure if it would bring in many people. Spanish is a big language. I could do German and French relatively easy, since I have on the way to a smile in those languages.

I don't know how many Spanish speaking people will get to see this stuff I'm translating (specially because my channel is very little and unknown in YouTube), so I'm doing it just because I enjoy the work. Having said that, if there's time and material (and skill; I need to improve my skill), I'd love to keep translating stuff to my language so that others can enjoy it.

It feels... nice (said Psycomanthis once).

Well, if you want to do translations of these books, we could put them on the site for spanish speakers to read, and subtitle them on our own youtube channel to reach a bigger audience.

I went though all of the audiobooks on youtube and added the english subtitle the last few weeks, and it would be pretty cool to get more languages on there. I also have a new version of Episode: Tifa in the works, so it could be interesting to make it all accessible to more people.

That'd be great! I can use the translations I did for the VN (just the first chapter by now) and send them to you (I don't know where to send them though, it's my first day here).

I'll search for FF related books on my own (to see if I can transform them into Visual Novels for my channel again), but if you can give me any leads, it'd be great.

Btw, I'd love to tell you I can send everything in a fast fashion, but I'm afraid I can't. Even for the first chapter of the VN I uploaded for my channel it took my more time than I'd prefer because of my job and my real life issues. If you don't have any problem with me taking some time from translation to translation, then we are all right :)

Im not really sure about the audiobooks being uploaded anywhere other than our own youtube channel. I like that they're finding a new audience, but they took me 5 years to complete. I'd rather keep them exclusive. :/

I understand that. And that's one of the reason I wanted to post them here rather than having them hidden from you so you didn't know they existed.

Is there a way I can get your permission to upload them to my channel? As I said, I credited you all over the place (in the intro and the ending credits, and also on the video description).

I like to do this kind of stuff the right way, so if you don't want me to post them, I'll take the video down. But is there any chance?

Nice! Thank you for letting me :)

Now, can I choose what to translate or would you rather make me translate something in particular? I'd rather start by sending you the transcription I used for the VN. Is that ok? o.o

Also, no problem if I place a link to the translation on your site on my blog?

And, also... where do I post/send the translations once they are done? I'm still lost there xD

You're welcome to work on anything you'd like. But hold off on the Episode: Tifa video until I have the new version finished.

You can private message me if you'd like.

Okay!
I'll keep working on the VN then, and I'll also send you some translations. I'm reading the novels from the link you gave me. I'll try to work on something today, so I can send you a text asap.

...though I have to go to my job in less than two hours, so I'll do as I can u.u
I'll send you a PM when I'm ready.

Well, Pixel, if there's anything you need / want to translate to Spanish, I can help out. I did some translation studies at university and I'm Spanish so :monster: .

Of course, it'd be good to know if it's something you're on a rush to have and how long it is. After all, I do have work to do. But I'd be happy to help.

Not bad, that dub! Some voices are pretty spot-on, to be honest.
