Fire Emblem: Awakening

IDK if there's a thread about this I haven't been here in two years so if there is merge it or whatnot. Otherwise yeah post about your FE:A adventures.

I've played the game twice in normal mode and once in hard (that playthrough I haven't finished yet)

My first playthrough was really fun but I missed out on some things. I failed to get Sumia's kid because I failed to marry her. ;~; I didn't realize she had such limited options for marriage. I also didn't marry Chrom off to anyone in time so he ended up with some random maiden rather than someone from the main cast. I KNOW I'M A FAILURE. But otherwise I got all of the other kids/characters, did all of the side stories and even some of the dlc. I believe I did Hot Spring Scramble and the Festival whatever that one was called idr.

I also got that dlc that allows you to get TONS and TONS of money which was extremely useful. I only got to play multiplayer once but we got through a lot of the maps and that was also super fun. It was cool 'streetpassing' each other and then appearing on each other's maps. It's cool that you can recruit your friend's MU into your team.

I loved the entire story and all of the characters with the exception of Virion and Gregor who I never used, bleck. Sadly my first play through I didn't use Sumia or Olivia much at all even though I adored them as characters. So my second play through I made sure to remedy that and SUMIA IS QUEEN OF MY HEART.

My fave characters include: HENRY, Gaius,Sumia,Libra,Maribelle,Laurent,Miriel,Lon'qu,Tharja, and Frederick.

My male MU married Miriel immediately in my first play through and I did not regret it. BEST WAIFU EVER AND LAURENT IS THE BEST ,,, MY SON,,,

Okay, I've beat FE:A like... about 6 times? Hahaha. When I start I get addicted and can't stop, and then want to replay again.

So far as a female I've married- Chrom, Lon'qu, Gaius, Owain
And as a male- Tiki, Cordelia (Pink hair!Severa ftw). TIKI IS A WONDERFUL MOTHER. MY SPIRIT ANIMAL BUT ALSO MY WAIFU

I loved the story as well, tbh I loved everything about it. I just didn't care for Vaike...... or Virion... yuck.

I think my favorite pairings are Chrom/Female!MU, Gaius/Sumia, Henry/Olivia, Frederick/Sumia, Morgan/Severa, Owain/Cynthia, Owain/Severa. Hnnnnnnng.

First few times I didn't use Owain much but after I did... I FELL IN LOVE... d-doki.
I still dont have all the DLC. When I got my XL I only bought the EXP dlc and the two dlcs for the bride and dread fighter classes sob. But I really want the others !!!!!

My fave characters are: TIKI!!!!!!!, Henry, Sumia, Cordelia, Severa, Cynthia, Owain, Lon'qu, Lissa, Olivia, Tharja, Frederick

I'm probably going to do another playthrough or two this year!!! I plan to marry Henry next time. I'm excited hhhhhhhhh

That's what I like about FEA? When I start it I get addicted and can't stop whereas with other replays of other games or even with newer games I have to take breaks to either play a different game, or just do anything else in general. FEA just drags me in and I haven't experienced something like that since Catherine and Assassin's Creed 3 lol.

Oh! In my female play through I still can't decide whom to marry. I want to marry Henry because I love him but at the same time THERE'S SO MANY OPTIONS I WANT TO EXPERIENCE YOOO.

I actually didn't mind Vaike. Like I really was meh about him at first but he ended up growing on me. I used him a decent amount of times in the game and marrying him to Nowi was really cute even if Nah ended up hating her father lmao.

TALK TO ME ABOUT HENRY/OLIVIA AND GAIUS/SUMIA such cuties I can't handle it. Especially Henry/Olivia that is like, THE BEST pairing in the game to me. Libra/Tharja would have been number one for me if it wasn't for that one thing she said to him that kind of disappointed me u___u Where she's like "you'll always be second to (insert MU's name here) but that will have to do" IT WAS SO CUTE AND SWEET UNTIL THAT POINT it was like ugh why.

Had it for a year now and still playing it and trying to get all the kids and fill everyone's supports. Unfortunately I killed Yarne during his side mission, I just assumed him to be an enemy and only realised what I'd done when he got the sad death music. Was ripping with myself after.

I still need to get the DLC content, but there's a ton of it and I don't have the funds for it just yet. Would rather get it all in one go than just bits and pieces.

Really want to try a Hard playthrough now with the whole character dies and is gone forever mechanic, it sounds brutal.

Sully is an absolute badass, as is Lucina. Libra's probably my one constant unit aside from the Avatar character as he can heal and do decent attacking damage at the same time. More sturdy than other white mage type characters.

I really want to try playing with permanent death for characters too but I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN HANDLE IT. I actually killed Gaius the first time I played by accident but I went back to get him x u x ;;

I'm still working on my second playthrough of FEA with a male character this time around. I had plans to marry off Chrom to Olivia, but....I'm not ready to marry Chrom off yet. (If I leave him with the Villager Girl, Lucina's gonna get bum genes and the only guys left to marry Olivia according to my chart would be Gregor, Kellam and Vaike... And out of those supports I only like Gregor's the best.) OTL

I mean, in the long run everybody's gonna marry everybody since I'm aiming to get all the supports but it's so hard! *weeps in a corner*

I'm still on my first playthrough, need to get back to it (getting 100% in RE: Revelations mercenary stuff was sidetracking me). So far I main Gregor, I wish they'd give me Basilio

My first Fire Emblem was Sacred Stones on the GBA, then Path of Radiance. I'm probably at the 3/4th mark with Radiant Dawn.

Also, nintendo, what's the deal? Release the rest of them on eshop!

@Ryu - This isn't my first FE game, but it's definitely my favorite and the one I've been the most invested in. uvu I've only REALLY played one other game and part of another. I'd like to play as many as available in the US someday. ;w;

Something about marrying Nowi with Lon'qu gave Nah some crazy stats. I reclassed her as a Thief and she's my most powerful character by a long way. She's unhittable to boot. Easily my favourite!

Tharja as Morgans mother makes some crazy mage awesomeness.

I poked around in the wifi menu, and found the holiest of level grinding: the bonus teams. I thought the extra characters were paid DLC, but here they are ready to be downloaded repeatedly (still missing a lot of my mains like Mordecai, Garcia, and Gilliam).

This means I can stick one man on the field and have everybody attack him, sending him right up to lvl 20. I started with Gregor, then pair him with another character to give the next one a boost. It's also good for leveling up support levels really quick.

I'm only doing this because I started on hardest/classic difficulty and the game really likes locking me out of fights if I'm under-leveled.

I'm sad that Basilio is not in it, but then again he would be pretty obscure compared to the MC/Lucina/Chrom team.

This game is quickly becoming the avatar fighter isn't it (Villager, Robin, Wii Fit, etc.)

I had my suspicions that Chrom would never make it in due to similarities with Marth. I did know it to be true that we'd see an Awakening character added to Smash. I'm absolutely over the moon that we have two instead, and 'Robin' looks awesome in-game.

I hope this helps solidify Fire Emblem in western culture just as Awakening made big strides to do so.

So I got the game a week ago. It's my first Fire Emblem game and I'm loving it. I'm currently in Chapter 13. My favorite character is Gregor for being absolutely hilarious and awesome: "True, Gregor just finish killing former employers, but still very reliable!". Also really love 'Marth'
