So, I downloaded and played the demo last night...
Holy fuck.
I thought I was excited before.
The opening was really intense for setting the tone of the game, and it's dealing with your escape from Kamino.
After some serious mental stress, or Vader forcing you to destroy proxy droids of Rebel troopers and failing to make you destroy one of Juno, you wreck your way out of the facility.
Dual lightsaber combat is beautiful, and there's something seriously satisfying about sending stormtrooper arms and heads flying when you slash them. You start with amped up force powers compared to where they'll be at in the game (just like the last demo), and they're all redone, and look amazing. The posing is more dynamic, especially when leaping and holding a force push. Force lightning will arc to various objects in the room, much more realistically, and the lightsaber combos with it extend in front of you, (especially useful against the troopers with the staffs). I didn't ONCE have an issue targeting what I meant to which is a godsend. You also have a force sense ability that I forgot to test out that's activated by pressing Up on the D-Pad.
And then there's mind trick. It's SUCH a great edition. Most of the time when you do it, you'll hear Starkiller's furious voice in the background intimidating your targets with things like, "You're surrounded by enemies.", and they'll panic and start attacking everyone around them. My personal favorite so far was tricking a trooper, and hearing Starkiller say "You don't need to be here.", and have the trooper turn and yell to his buddies "I don't need to be here!" as he turned tail and ran away.
Combat is amped up, and miles better than the original. The pike troopers take some tactic because they WILL block your saber attacks if you don't shock or knock them down first. I seriously underestimated the Carbonite War Droid on my first encounter. I ripped off his shield, but then my force lightning didn't stun him like I expected it to, so when I rushed and leapt at him with my lightsabers, he'd managed to completely coat my body in carbonite when I was in mid-air, and I fell and shattered on the ground. Dead.
After coming back and blasting the war droid apart, I got to deal with some jetpack troopers. When I shocked them, and watched them smoke around the sky, it really hit me how pretty the game is. Seeing the water glistening on my character model, and all the details around were absolutely gorgeous. From there I got to deal with some TIE Fighters and use Force Fury on a couple AT-STs, but I'll leave that to you to try out. At the very least, when you're in the AT-ST area, when the stormtroopers come in, charge up a force repulse full power, and you'll unleash a blast that'll disintegrate the troopers on contact.
As if that's not enough, there's two super quick cinematic teasers that will be making their way to your televisions soon below of Starkiller & Vader.

Interestingly it's NOT the same way that the big cinematic opening trailer takes place, with him improsoned and rushing to the droids, so I'm fairly sure that that may be later on in the game, or another clone all together.
