I was going to respond this on the LTD thread because everybody is missing the real point of the compilation, figured out that it may deserve it's own thread.

FFVII is about Cloud's sexual awakening.

He always wanted Zack's sword but he got hold of it through a very traumatic event. This caused him to be confused believing that sword to be his own. Tifa touching him in the train station is a symbolism for sexual contact with a woman. Because of this, Cloud made up the ideal man Tifa wanted, though he still didn't realize that he was confusing Zack's sword to be his own. Then Aerith came, a flower vendor. Cloud promised to guard this flower vendor in exchange of one date, this shows Cloud's growing masculinity in wanting to get hold of flowers as much as he can.

But then Sephiroth made Cloud question his sexuality again by whenever his long sword clashes against Cloud's buster. Seph even killed the flower girl and this caused Cloud grief and more confusion. Cloud didn't know of he's gay or straight now at this point. Thankfully, the busty and very womanly Tifa helped him find his true self through another contact. Cloud finally battled Sephiroth for the last in the crater and defeated him, proving that Cloud choose to be straight.

But Sephiroth appeared again in AC, proving that Cloud's sexuality is always battling with itself. Seph said he will never be a memory.

Let's discuss this true meaning behind FFVII. Be sure to cite other examples and evidences too.

I think the innuendos are there for everyone to see. And the main characters of the story cater for most tastes; blonds, brunettes, ebony and ivory, toys, beasts, Asian schoolgirls, 'mature' (Vincent)...the list goes on.

I have to disagree with the analysis that Cloud's sexual exploration lasts as far as AC. I think he reaches peak sexual confidence when he takes on the Planet's 'weapon'.

Also, as a side note, the original script of the game had a suggested sex scene with Cloud and Tifa aboard the Highwind when everyone else had gone. No joke.

sephiroth killing aerith is entirely symbolic. what really happened was that cloud caught them having sex, and since that conflicted with what he thought of aerith she 'died' because he refused to date someone non-virginal.

tifa getting slashed but not killed by it implies some sort of heavy petting went on between them.

which therefore makes cloud some sort of massive asshole.

I'm pretty sure I've seen pictoral evidence of such out there in the far reaches of the internets

Oh and Cid has an oral fixation, which is why he is never without a ciggie, until the ending of course where he has resolved his inner turmoil. This is why he isn't smoking in AC
