Friend Card/ID Thread

Since it's under 2 weeks until the game is released, I thought I'd make one of these friend-code-sharing type threads.

Is anyone planning on buy this when it's released on the 18th? I don't know how many people plan on getting Dissidia on the Japanese release or just waiting for the English release. But for those who do get the Japanese one (and later, the English one too), how about sharing friend cards, IDs or 'Ghosts'?

Once the game is out, this thread could also have guides for anyone who does get the JPN version to help find your codes/IDs/etc.


Starter Information:

Adhoc Party
Free PS3 application, allowing you to play PSP adhoc/LAN games over the internet through the PS3. The program is only available in Japanese at the moment, and requires you to have a wired connection on your PS3.

A PC application with the same function as Adhoc Party, but for a wider range of consoles (PS2, Xbox, etc.).

I would love to, but I was trying to figure out the exact mechanics of accessing the Online Lobby. Can it be done on a simple wireless connection or do I need to Ad-hoc connect through a PS3? 'cause if it's the first, I'll happily friend you.

Well, arent you not going to be able to play it online at first? I thought that doing that through the PS3 was going to happen in the near future for Dissidia.

Im thinking of importing (and then buying it when it comes out in the US as well) because I REALLY want to play it. But at the same time, I already have six PS3/DS/PSP games to play this christmas vacation.

I've only just started keeping up with Dissidia, but I thought it would be online from the start? Although the present Ad-Hoc Party is the beta, so maybe the proper version won't be out before Dissidia.

Which would give you time to build up your characters

@Schala: Yeah, I think Dissidia needs you to either be near the other person to use ad-hoc, or a PS3 with a wired connection (the PSP will be using the LAN so the PS3 can't) to use Ad-Hoc Party. There is another, Xlink-Kai? Something like that, I think that one only requires you to have a PC connection, but I don't know much about it. Being official Sony Ad-Hoc Party should work (and I think the staff mentioned it as well), but hopefully that Kai one will work for people without access to a PS3.

It'd be nice to get to play online with people here. But even if you can't get online proper, there's still the Ghosts and such.

Edit; looking at it, maybe if you use Adhoc Party you can't play with people using XLink Kai, and visa versa? I guess that's something that needs more looking into

Hmmm, well, when my copy arrives I'll guess I'll have to DL Xlink-Kai to see it that will work. But if it does, then hey, we can have a lil Dissidia league amongst ourselves.

Maybe not, if it works with that Xlink-Kai program. We'll just have to wait until it's released and people can try it out.
