I should point out that I already have a part-time job, and hell, I could probably transfer to another store if I move - I'm just not getting nearly as many hours as I'd like, and the pay's only $8/hour, which probably wouldn't be enough to support myself even if I were working forty hours a week.

Ehh. Hopefully I'll have luck. Thanks again. I probably won't completely disappear - I'll just be substantially less active. Though I'd already started that trend before I posted this thread, really.

You know, with your expertise, intelligence, and leadership qualities, have you ever thought of going into social work or advocacy? That's something that's surprisingly still looking for help that pays surprisingly well. I don't know if its the same in Florida as it is here, but it's the South, so I know for fact it's not like there are a lot of people who actually think helping women is a good idea.

That being said good luck in your endeavors and I'm sure you'll find your place with your education and shit. Just hang in there.
