Games You're Definitely Going to Play But Haven't Even Started

...or bought yet.

I'm making this because I keep "remembering" must-play titles I haven't bought yet.

My list stands currently with:

The Last Guardian
Gravity Rush 2
Nier: Automata

I'm definitely forgetting some. Will add later.

What are yours?

Games I own but have not started:

• Pokémon Moon Ultra.
• Secret of Mana (remake)

Games that fall into, "Games I got a tiny ways into, got distracted, and still haven't completed yet, despite wanting to."

• Shadow of War
• FFXV VR: Monster of the Deep

I'm sure there're a TON more, though.

Shadowfox

You look like you need a monkey
The Last Guardian
Transistor
Kingdom Come Deliverance
Steamworld Dig 2
Pillars of Eternity II
Civilization VI
Divinity Original Sin II
Star Citizen
Elite Dangerous

Playing and finishing games now are mostly about trying to balance time, interest, the capability of whatever hardware I have at the moment, and especially price & budget.

Hyper Light Drifter

thats all I can think of right now but I know there is more

Please play Hyper Light Drifter. What an exceptional game with a beautiful aesthetic with rich lore that is presented in Dark Souls-esque ways. If you want to understand whats going on you really have to observe your surroundings etc.

This game was legitimately a highlight for me the year it came out.

For me it has got to be Dark Souls 3. I've played every From Souls-like game so far, I even played the crap out of Nioh (The best non-From Souls game to date).

But still haven't gotten around DkS3. Idk if it's because I know it's a continuation and thus end to the lore established in DkS1 which to me is such an incredible story knowing it's over kind of sucks.

Or it could be because Bloodborne spoiled me with it's excellent rolls and hit detection. Even though I play a similar style in DkS that I did in BB i know not having that life steal mechanic on aggressive retaliation after being hit might not gel with me anymore lol.

I really need to get around to finishing this damn series... But on the other hand I bought Monster Hunter the other day and its freaking awesome soooo.

edit:

Thinking about it I'll also add The Witcher 3 to this list.

It's been sitting on my second HDD for like 2 years now. I played about 5 hours into and was really into it and then I just didn't boot it up again. Idk... Being so free felt really restricting haha. Just knowing I can tell the main story to fuck off and go do like 30 side quests was kind of like overload for me.

Last thing I remember was going to some small town to help a rich guy find his kidnapped kid... and then getting lost in a Swamp. Like really really lost, and this swamp was no where near that quest hub either IIRC, like I just fucked off on horseback for 15 minutes and was ays away from the quest zone lol.

I should finish that game some day.

this is the start of my list as well (i have the first gravity rush on ps4 from the ps+ subscription but haven't even played that yet)

also to split the list into stuff i own but haven't got through:
- ico (own, not started)
- evil within (own and started a little bit once just to see what it's deal was but i want to finish it)
- mass effect trilogy
- dragon age origins
- final fantasy tactics war of the lions (i got to chapter 5 and then the difficulty seemed to suddenly ramp up and i got stuck and that was many years ago)
- shadow hearts (this involves plugging my ps2 back in and i don't have a lot of space atm)
- devil survivor overclocked (i can't remember where i put the game case now lol)
- raidou kuzunoha vs king abaddon (another ps2 game)
- demento (i just got this after christmas on the ps3 and why did i just add another game to my list)

and stuff i need to get first before i can play:
- nier (i don't remember the deal with that, was it the xbox version had old guy hero and the ps3 a young one, or the english version old hero and the japanese one a young dude, but i'll probably be trying to get the japanese ps3 version at some point)
- hyper light drifter
- zero escape (i was part way through the second one when i realised there was a previous game to it, and now that's been ported as a bundle to ps4 and i'm just waiting for the money to get it)
- bloodborne (i am going through the first dark souls on ps3 right now but i miss playing on the ps4 with a more consistent framerate and also i'm interested in seeing a new setting than the similar demons/dark souls style)
- dark souls 3 (i still want to play more in the old dark souls style environment tho)
- nioh
- whatever the name of that ps4 kingdom hearts game that isn't only ports is
- also the ps4 kh ports because i'm trash and love that nonsense game

i am stopping now because i don't want to think about this anymore

I don't think I can recommend that game highly enough. If you have this on your list, you should DEFINITELY start off with Hyper Light Drifter.

I've heard good things about it (A free to play game done right) but my internet is still to slow to play anything online or even download anything.
There's a 593MB update for Fallout 4 thats forever paused on my Steam because it'll take me 14 hours to download it.
(Hopefully I'll be switching to Virgin media fibre soon.)

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
I re-start this but don't finish it. :wacky:

Currently dedicating my time between FFXIV, the KHII Final Mix portion of the 1.5+2.5 Remix, and the Shadow of the Colossus HD Remake.

My to play list currently looks like this:
PS4 Pro:
KH Birth by Sleep Final Mix
KH 2.8 Remix
FFX/X-2 HD (technically I've started it but I haven't even left Besaid yet)
FFXII: The Zodiac Age
Dissidia NT (played it for a day, haven't had much interest since then)

Mobile iOS:
FF Tactics War of the Lions
Chrono Trigger
FFIII
FFV
FFIX (was last at the Bahamut vs Alexander events, wish I could transfer my data to my PS4 version I purchased recently)

Nintendo Systems (though some of these are ones that I am more than half way done with but just haven't played in the last month or even longer ago):
Super Mario Odyssey (at "first" final boss)
TLoZ: The Wind Waker HD (half way)
TLoZ: Twilight Princess HD (beat the Wii version more than a decade ago, just haven't touched the port yet)
TLoZ:Skyward Sword (a third of the way through, was more than half way but lost my saved data years ago which really demotivated me)
Fire Emblem Fates (nearly done with Birthright, barely started the other two routes)
TLoZ: Oracle of Ages
TLoZ: Oracle of Seasons

i didn't even include steam games because my steam library is basically just games that i will play in the future on the off chance i get a decent computer that can actually play them

also, i have resident evil 1-6 and code veronica and i've played 3-5 (3 was one of the few dreamcast games i had), but i have yet to play the rest

One of these days I'm actually going to BUY and PLAY Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. I've been listening to some music from the game, and it's only increased my hankering to buy it. But I keep prioritizing other shit first.

So many games, mostly because I can't justify the expense of getting a PS4. To start:

Final Fantasy 15
Resident Evil 7 (and at least one of the Revelations games)
Xcom 2
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

Maybe Battlefield 1, as I'm on a huge WW1 craze lately.

Keveh Kins

I've got a few to work through:

Bloodborne
Crash Bandicoot Remastered
Horizon: Zero Dawn
The Unfinished Swan

My gaming time has been severely curtailed of late, still working my way through FFXV

Joker

Just for PS4, I can see behind me

Fate/Extella
Dragon Ball FighterZ
BlazBlue Central Fiction
Tales of Berseria
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
FFXV
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

Me too! I keep forgetting about this! :rage:

Splatoon 2
Hyper Light Drifter (becoming a priority after seeing the comments about it in this thread)
Celeste
Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King
RiME
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
FFXII: The Zodiac Age
Alundra
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Skyrim (yeah, feel like one of the last people to not have played this :monster:)
Persona 5
KH Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance (I haven't played a KH game since II, so I need to catch up for III and I hear BBS and 3D are the best/most essential. I assume the PS4 collections are the way to go.)

Those are just ones I've been interested in - I don't own any of them yet. BotW is currently keeping me busy; I'll probably go for something on the short side after I finish with it.
