Double Growth
So this is partially for my own benefit to schedule out my fairly extensive gaming backlog (which I have nonetheless put a significant dent in this last six months), but I figured it could be a fun exercise and likely extend all of our backlogs as we remind each other of or recommend to certain games. So here goes (besides the division between priority and low priority, these are not in any order):
Priority
Replays
Lower Priority
Replay
This feels like the year to make progress on this because there aren't too many releases I feel real eager for. When the X HD Rerelease comes out X-2 will be added to this list. And I'll probably get Lightning Returns. But that's all I expect as of now.
I think the problem is how many are low priority, I never know which way to go. The high priority ones are easier.
Of course, Skyrim is an ever-present fixture that could suck me in at any time. Also I have my modded-up version of FFVII to play through some time.

Priority
Torchlight II - I've put several hours in with two characters already, but I still haven't actually finished it- Nier - Had this for awhile and I keep getting distracted, I have liked what I've played so far, the music is great and it is fun, but it has yet to really "suck me in."
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - picked this up in a Steam Sale, I really liked the trilogy. I'm already not crazy about the changes, but it's still fun to be the with the Prince again, I'll finish it.
- Baldur's Gate II - Finally got this on a great gog.com sale a few weeks ago. Obviously everyone has absolutely raved about this game. Hopefully it deserves the hype. Also it should be interesting now that I know how dungeon and dragons work which I did not when I tried Icewind Dale II as a kid.
Replays
Uncharted 3 - when my first PS3 died I lost credit for having beat the game (including the trophies as I hadn't synced). So I 'd like to replay it on Hard since I'm replaying it anyway.- Armored Core and Project Phantasma - just last week I came back into possession of these fantastic games from the 90s. I'm looking forward to playing through them again. I sunk HOURS into them as a kid, but was never all that good and it's been a long time. (it's even been a long time since I've played AC4 and for Answer on PS3) I wanna see if I'll be any better with age, or just worse because of the convoluted, archaic control scheme.
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones - to show Avec.
Lower Priority
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - started a game awhile ago and was distracted by Skyrim, never went back.
- Xenogears - I finally made significant progress - a good 20 to 30 hours - in this game, and my PS3 died and I lost it and it has kinda killed my motivation ever since.
- Vagrant Story - have always wanted to play this. I have it on PS3, but I haven't gotten far.
- Parasite Eve - everything I said about Vagrant Story
- The Witcher 2 - Got this when it came out and played pretty far, but it got lost in the shuffle and I basically have to restart it.
- Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - I loved the first Red Alert games. The demo of this never interested me but I did pick up during one of the dreaded Steam Holiday sales. So I'd like to get through it.
- Bioshock Infinite - I know this is hugely popular, not really my thing, but it came free with my new video card. I played about an hour and a half so far. Will have to get back to it.
The Last Remnant - I remember being interested in this before it came out and it got lackluster reviews, but again, deep discount sale. - Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Huge fan of Oblivion and Skyrim, and wanted to see the first one all the cool kids like to say is better. I got a nice overhaul mod and played about 6 hours, but I haven't really gotten anywhere in it yet.
- Final Fantasy I - PSP version, got a good 10-15 hours in, got lost, stopped.
- Final Fantasy II - PSP version. Started, but I'm not too far.
- Lunar Silver Star Harmony - PSP version, always heard high praise for this game. I'm a few hours in.
- FFIV: The After Years - I hear not-so-great things...but I got the Complete Collection and did just finish 4 so...we'll see.
- And someday, someday, I will finally finish Chrono Trigger. I've started it a million times.
- Castlevania Symphony of the Night - I've always wanted to play this too.
Replay
- Phantasy Star IV - yet another purchase from a Steam Sale, and one of my favorite RPGs from when I was a kid.
[*]Xenosaga III - I love this series and I've replayed the first several times, but never the third. - Final Fantasy Tactics - One of my favorite games of all time, and I'd love to a do a playthrough were I fully take advantage of things like errands and what not.
