You know, it really doesn't *look* that bad. Looks like it might be something like Mario Kart.
But knowing Sega and its current track record with Sonic, I'm not that optimistic. They tried this idea before and it failed then. The racing game sucked. Let's see if they can get it right this time.

About fucking time. I always thought they could do a Sonic game like this since Mario Kart on the SNES. I mean, even Crash Bandicoot got one.
I won't hold my breath either, but it could be a decent party game if for some reason you don't have Rock Band.

It's very much like Mario Kart. But...I dunno. It..didn't really catch on.
Sonic also had a fighting game which is quite lulzy.

Honestly, Sonic 2 and Sonic CD are like my definitive favorites. Those were the absolute best in my opinion. Sonic 3 was cool, as was Sonic & Knuckles. And then there's Sonic Adventure which I think is the best 3D adaption of the series, and then its just been a downward spiral from there. I seriously don't understand how they fucked up their formula and gameplay after Sonic Adventure. It was truly their best selling Dreamcast title and got Sonic back in the light. They need to stop adding so many shitty gimmicks and get back to basics like in Sonic Adventure. Sonic Adventure's truly the best due to its straightforward nature that focuses on the unique gameplay of each character rather than the stupid new additional gimmicks they add each game. The levels were designed rather well too.

There is stuff like MotorStorm that has mixed forms of transportation. I think it would be win if Sonic was the only racer on foot.

Sonic Riders? I got the second for the PS2. It was pretty sick, but you can beat it in litteraly 3 hours which blows... That and it's too slow.

THEY NEED TO BRING BACK SONIC SHUFFLE AND MAKE IT LESS RIDICULOUSLY TEDIOUS AND DIFFICULT.
Because that game was fucking awesome if you had over 9000 hours to spare for a four player game and your friends weren't prone to fits of rage at overly difficult and tedious puzzles.

I loved Sonic Shuffle. Only problem was horrendus load times, and that if you ever lost a level, you just lost 20 hours of your life that you have to redo

I'm sure it'd be fun playing with 4 people but against 3 computer players it was just awful. First game I ever threw across the room in frustration.

There's one thing you must remember when playing Sonic Shuffle with the computer.
It cheats. Blatantly. And willfully. It's not only a cold unfeeling machine. It's a machine with no sense of ethics whatsoever.
