Milk is good. I didn't enjoy it much but it's a real life biographical dramatisation so I suppose it's the actual history of it I don't like.

A friend of mine absolutely loves this movie, but I found it a bit underwhelming. Still OK though. Also Keanu Reeves. Omnom.

Jennifer's Body has a massively unsubtle lesbian subtext to it, to the point where I'm not even sure I should call it subtext.

It's already been mentioned, but do watch Shortbus if you haven't already and don't mind very explicit sex. I think it's kind of an important movie.

Um...possibly a bit of an obvious one, but Bound is pretty good.

Apparently to a friend of mine who is homosexual, Brokeback Mountain is as homophobic as it can get in the way it portrays homosexuality lol. Havent seen the film myself. I guess I can't contribute much to this topic but I've enjoyed quite some films with themes of lesbian vampires Vampyros Lesbos, The Vampire Lovers, a couple of Jean Rollin films.

Edit: Wong kar wai's Happy Together is a good film.

It's been a while since I've seen Brokeback. I remember my mum was kind of shocked at the sex, not because it was two men but because it was sort of rushed - I think she was expecting something more romantic?

Also I guess it's kind of negative as one of the guys has a wife and kid, not that I agree with that but I can see how it portrayed the relationship as deceitful, and in that respect I guess it isn't going to convert any homophobes?

I don't think there was an implied attraction between the female characters (although it's possible that Wynona's character was somehow attracted to Angelina as part of her symptoms of BPD).
