My computer's a bit slow at the moment and I've just finished an hour on a cross trainer and doing 20 minutes of stomach crunches so I fell asleep for about 10 minutes or so.

Ack I'm alright trying and failing to look for full time jobs at the moment. Hows things with you?

Have you finished Uni now, Shining Gem? Was it Queen's you went to?

Good luck with finding a job, apparently it's practically impossible.

Yeah it was, I graduated just over a month ago. I was orginally going on to do a masters in Poetry but I got rejected from the course so right now I'm looking for a full time job, I've applied for mainly admin positions but I'm also thinking of going back to college and getting a degree in ICT, a lot of jobs I've been applying for require a certain qualification in word processing and although I did all of that at uni I never got an official qualification.

What did you study, cracker boi? TBH, I don't know why people needs Qualifications in using word processors, excel or publisher. They aren't that difficult.

I was doing a Liberal Arts degree (BA (hons)) and studied Human development studies, communication skills, English Literature, European Studies and Work Based Learning which had me go out for 6 weeks into a management position. I was very happy with my results, 2.1 but apparently the piece or work I submitted for my application into the masters degree wasn't good enough so I might try for it again next year and improve on my piece of writing.

I don't really know why you need a qualification either using those programmes isn't hard, I was using them nearly everyday at university. Thanks for the luck, there's one position I'm hoping for it a new place opening up that's going to deal with things like Visas and immigration so I applied for an admin position there, they've sent me word twice to let me know there's a delay in the processing of the application forms so I'm hoping that's a good sign that they'll give me good news eventually. What are you doing with yourself at the moment?

A level Results? Good luck with them I will say one thing though I asbolutely adored doing English Literature it was my favourite part of the course thats why I wanted to continue on studying it, I'd love to be doing lecturing, the plan is once I eventually go on and do my masters I'll go on and do a phd. Which uni would you prefer to go to Queens or Leeds?

Well, third set of A level results due to not being arsed with ucas last year and then doing unexpectadly well. Got unconditional for Queens, needed an A in Eng lang AS for Leeds, so had to take that one. I prefer Leeds, but then again, I've never visited Belfast or the uni. This presents a problem if I don't get that A.

Ahh right. Belfast is great...although I would be biased saying that because I live here but the night life is good and Queen's has got some really good facilites for studying. I hope you get your A and get to the university you prefer though, its always better if you get to go to the one you want

Yeah having to move away from home is difficult I did it last year for almost 5 months, its a great experience and you get your own independence but it can be hard so I can see why you'd also prefer the leeds option to be closer to home, family, friends and so on.

Not that I have any problem with that feeling if she goes to Queen's >:3
