Oh well obviously I have that natural kinky hair but whenever I perm it, it comes out pretty wavy and then when I curl it, it holds.

How about straightening it? Do you just prefer curly, or does it not straighten well? Out of pure curiosity here.

My hair straightens out pretty well actually and it's been straightened regularly since I was about 13 years old or so. I'm pretty much used to it.

@A: Cool, I'm going to check the thread out now!

I prefer it curly though, if only for the aesthetic part of it and nothing more. Though my hair does tend to get in the way sometimes.
