Not really tbh, if they changed a key or something for the login cookie, or resetting the session table (if there is such a thing) would do it.

Actually I looked it up; something was indeed changed in how passwords were encrypted:

The vBulletin development team has identified a potential issue with the strength of password encryption in vBulletin and we are implementing a patch to address this issue.

In certain rare cases, hackers can exploit a non-vBulletin vector (such as a bad plug-in) to access the vBulletin password database and attempt to decrypt administrator and user passwords.

But that's been patched, hence the new login.

For the record, I was absolutely not questioning your ability to run the place. You do great stuff to keep it on, keep it secure, keep it as bug-free as possible and to protect members' privacy when they ask. You are not Summoner Yuna by any stretch of imagining.

My frustration was mainly in that it felt like you had beat around the bush yourself and figured people would eventually stop asking questions when you could just be up front about your position -- which you have now been forthcoming about, blessed be, so thank you for doing that.

Also, I had known about Fangu's robust experience with this stuff and figured you did as well, so I was infinitely perplexed as to why she hadn't been trusted with more opportunity to break stuff. That confusion is now dispelled, so my frustration on that count is as well.

Anyway, again, you are a swell chap. I don't think a Louis XVI solution is needed. =P

Not that I know of, no, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was because of the update. You mean the max size for new avatars, right? Let me check the settings.

edit: setting atm is indeed about 20 kb; it's 10kb for regular users, and 100kb for admins because of reasons. IDK if that was the old setting or you're trolling to try and get large animated avatars going,
