Greetings internet denizens.

I'm Gary (real name) Caelum (not real name).

I'm a long term Final Fantasy obsessive. I've bought ever main entry on launch day since FF7 and my favourite in the series are 7,9,6 and 10 (in that order).
I'm also one of the rare specimens who loved both 13 and 15 :-)

Anyway, I recently noticed that none of my close friends are Final Fantasy fans anymore, so I needed somewhere I could talk about it....and here I am.

Now what are your thoughts on Final Fantasy XII?

It's one of the few entries in the series I've only ever played once. I liked it back in 2006, but not as much as the other entries I listed. It's a bit too much of an offline MMO for my liking. Too much focus on battles and loot, not enough focus on story and characters. The world of Ivalice was incredible though. World design is a massive factor for me in RPGs (moreso than most people) It certainly nailed that aspect of it. I just couldn't tell you a single thing about what happened in the story.

I've got the PS4 version though, so will replay it at some point.
