How does Aerith's hair get so much longer in wall market?

In the cutscene where Cloud lays her to rest her hair is as long without the ribbon as it is when she's all dressed up going to Don's place. I dunno I always assumed her hair was meant to be in some half up/half down style or something when like that and obviously when it's up in the pony tail braid it naturally lifts and looks shorter.

Interestingly I've just noticed in that comparison pic when she is all dressed up her ribbon is tied exactly like it is in Crisis Core, not an important thing really but I always wondered why they did the ribbon like that in CC when she never wore it like that in the original game, guess she did, oh and you can also see her white materia, which for some reason already happens to be green when her hair is different in the game, its most noticeable in the mansion...there's a lot of problems related to that hair do

i think one day aerith got gum in her hair while playing in sector 5 and elmyra had to cut it out and her hair was ugly as fuck but the next morning it had mysteriously grown back perfectly

and she found she could hear voices no one else could

and some weird people named shinra kept sending letters to their house that elmyra wouldn't let her read

until one day finally this really tall guy named tseng came to the door and said

I always thought Aerith's hair was meant to be plaited, but they just couldn't be arsed rendering/drawing plaits because they're hard to do

Well traditionally Aeris is wearing her hair in a braid. In the scene where she is at Don's, and later during her watery end, her hair is not in a braid. Seems simple enough to me. Anyone who has ever braided hair, had their hair braided, or knew someone who had their hair braided, knows it shortens your overall length because of how much wrapping is involved. Aeris has a massive braid in all the official art I've seen for her; implying her hair is also extremely long, since her massive braid (and it is quite massive) is already like waist-length.
