The demo was awesome, I'll definitely pick this up when I have teh monies. :monster:

But for some reason I can't do evil stuff in games, even if it's more fun than being good. And that really sucks because red lightning > all. D:

The evil powers are actually a lot more fun than the good.

This is a universal truth in all video games, ever. And even if they'd be balanced by 'good' powers, it's often a lot easier and more fun to be evil.

Bumping this again :awesome:

How many endings are there to the game? They're obviously going to be a good and evil ending, but are there any others (like Bioshock's 'you were mostly good but bad that one time' ending)?

Naw, don't think so. Maybe next time round.

I sure hope not. And if there are, they'd better do it Right - Fallout 3 was supposed to have 500 different endings, but that translated to 500 different variations of the same thing depending on specific choices during specific events, which overall equated to 'good or evil'.

On that, the 'different endings depending on your choice' thing is starting to become lame, and seems to always equate to either a 'good' or 'evil' ending. They should do it Right and do at least five different endings and less black and white stuffs.

Or just get rid of it.

I finished the good path, going through the evil one now.

But to be honest, I probably wouldn't call the whole system innovative or anything. Mainly because yar, it's been done a thousand times before :monster:

Some missions, I think pretty much the ones involving Trish, seem to make you evil even when you're playing good. Like the saving the hospital one, how is that evil? But are they just always like that (maybe hinting towards the later mission with the choice between rescuing Trish or the doctors), or is there actually a way for them to end with you getting a good rating?

Saving the doctors gets you a good rating, saving trish does not. Choosing the good path in any situation results in your good reputation being reinforced

I did save the doctors :monster: Mainly because after all the other missions that ended with Cole and Trish getting alone better ending bad, I figured saving Trish would mean the same.

Another question: part from blast shards and other missions (which I didn't see on my little look at it), is there much else to do on the post-game bit? Extra bosses or anything?

That's the thing. When it comes to superheroes, it usually means that in order to uphold justice, or whatever ideology they entertain, they have to sacrifice, and that means loneliness, pain, and uncertainty.

Villains are typically more selfish, and when they come out on top they usually are quite content with where they are, and take whatever they want by force and enjoy doing so.

The game means to demonstrate that stark contrast. But yeah, there's nothing innovative here and I'd have loved the game with or without the good/evil system

Naw, don't think so. But I foresee them releasing some DLC to continue the story or some such. At least I hope so :monster:

I guess I might be missing stuff by not being familiar with superhero comics, if that's what it's based on.

Though I can see what you're saying about hero/villains, with choices like 'take all the food for yourself/let others take some' or above mentioned 'save your girlfriend Trish or doctors' (not that it's hard to see).

Thinking about it, I kind of wish your actions have more of an impact on how things turn out. Like there actually being some kind of change to you taking all the food in the first mission or not. Most just seem to go basically the same way whatever you do.

Although maybe there are changes and I just haven't played far enough on the evil path to see :monster:

I hope it would be DLC expanding on the story or hinting at what's to come, rather than just gameplay related stuff like 'defeat 1000 enemies' type missions. Because I never really bother with thoses :awesomonster:

There a re a bit more changes down the path of evil. But for Sucker Punch's first attempt at this sort of game it wasn't half bad.

And yeah, I'm hoping it's a story expansion myself.

Holy fucking shit this game was awesome. I'd have posted about it but I just turned on my computer today for the first time since I bought the thing.

I do sort of wish there was more of a story difference between good and evil, but hell, the gameplay itself was so bad ass I didn't think about that much until I beat it. Also, if they do a sequel I'd like to see some sort of "neutral" path.

^ Concur, I would have liked to see more gameplay difference between good and evil to.

After going evil I was hoping to hook up with the insane Sasha chick to take over the world together. :awesome:
