Can we have (or at least have a discussion for) an RP sub forum? ACF had very prominent RPers, and some of the old RP's (after talking to a couple people on msn) from FCF we might want to bring over to TLS and give another shot with new members.

I wasn't sure if I should open up a poll with this or not, but at least can discussion be had for it? RPing is a classic from the times of Yore that we need to bring back.

I concur with this whole heartedly.

As an RPer myself, I think it's a form of creativity that alot of people can get involved with.
It's good for people who want to improve their writing skills and it can also strengthen relationships between the members involved.

I've seen alot of interest in RPs from people who have never written in that form before, and I think the introduction of such a sub-forum could be a successful addition to the forum.

Spam and RP are very different things, I don't think the mods will be as restrictive about RPing as they were about spam.

I love Rping, so I am totally for this idea. I mean, it's not like I must have it or anything, because I use a different site/MSN to RP on. I guess I'm saying that if there were a subforum, I'd participate. =)

Ah as an old-time member of the RP community, I have to say that it really increased my interest in writing when I was going through a difficult time. As Bexy pointed out, in some cases it can strengthen the bonds between fellow RPers especially ones that are very active within a thread that you frequently contribute to. I think it can do wonders for character development and it can encourage the participants to add in details. All in all it can be a fun and wholesome experience for some, depending on where their interests lie.

I'd love to see it back though, if not just for the nostalgic aspect of it then for the possibility to enhance my creativity.

The short version: It doesn't fit with the general topic of our site and there don't seem to be enough people to warrant starting it up. Although I can't be sure about the latter one at this time.

In all fairness though I'm fairly sure it failed at FCF for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with a lack of interest and everything to do with internal drama, disputes and the like, which wouldn't even be an issue here rly.

Case and point the marvelous idea to steal the acf tournament idea then cock it up through noobs thinking they were rping and other knobs who just never posted.

Concur with Alex on the drama thing. There were two/three heavily active RPs but involved most the same members. When drama came up conflicting with all those members, it failed.

As for the coinciding with the main forum topic...

We don't have those people on this forum, we have more competent RPers, yourself for instance [asspat], that can guide people if they're new to RP.
Come on guys, vote and give it a chance at least.
