Most don't live to 60 when Japan's average death is around 80? ._.

Wow, SE needs to give some relaxing time to its employees.

I lol'd. So creating FF now brings bad luck? BUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT!

Just admit it, SE: you have your employees work their asses off to clean rocks, giving them little to live with and if you screw up, no of course it isn't the directors' and script writers' (aka the BIG heads of the production) fault. Nooooooooo, you blame the minor ones and kick them out, or THREATEN to kick them out, stressing them immensely that they'll lose whatever scarce income they have from you.

Yes, that's what I got from this article.

So many of the big names have left, eh? I was unaware of this.

Further proving the notion that Square doesn't exist anymore. Square is dead. It is nothing but a roaming undead eating its own brain while its limbs are falling off.

I agree, an interesting read. Sad, too.

From a picture I saw, in one of the more in-depth articles about XIII's production (before release) a picture of a 'typical Square Enix development floor' was shown - it did looks pretty chaotic. Just a lot of work.

I wondered why one of the Ultimanias for XIII was dedicated to Mr. Kanada.

If you don't love what you're doing, people won't love what you do.
If you don't have fun making it, people won't have fun playing it.
Hard work, fun, and love don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Actually, SE's not to blame (entirely) for that, but Japanese working culture in general. It's serious fucking business over there.

The western world long developed things like free saturdays, maximum working hours, unions and shit like that to get better working conditions and longer lifespans, though, :monster:.

So not only is it creating nightmares, but it is one big nightmare in terms of development.

Sad but strangely unsurprising.

So think about this little scene; apply it to you life.
If your work isn't what you love, then something isn't right.
Just look at Bob and Judy; they're happy as can be,
Inventing situations, putting them on T.V.

Something like that.
